<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jamaal Magloire was hired to grab some boards, put up a few points, slap away a couple of shots…and oh yeah, put people in their place. Magloire whacked Eddy Curry more than once Thursday night, at one point getting so far under the Knick big man’s skin that he got called for a technical. Teammates think having someone like Magloire could work wonders when one of them gets hit. It’s payback time.</div></p> Source</p>
I saw that, it was hilarious. Magloire hit or pushed Eddy a couple times, I just started laughing. Eddy's such a bitch.</p>
Magloire is so nice for his teammates, and a bad guy for his opponents, we will need himat big time.</p>
Magloire can hopefully grab atleast 8 REBS a game and 1 BPG this season to help else down low. If he can give us those numbers, to hell with Krstic, we can put O'Neal and Magloire upfront and we're set.</p>
Here's something else I liked from that article:</p> <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Krstic has exactly one 3-pointer in his career. But ask Carter who's going to lead the team in 3's this year, and his first reaction is this: "It might be Curly," he said.</div></p> And a heads up on Kidd:</p> <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'></p> "Best case scenario? We certainly are hopeful that Jason will be ready to practice by the middle of the week, and maybe play in a game," Rod Thorn said, referring to next Thursday or Friday. "When you take this epidural, it takes a few days for it to (do its job). He has some swelling in the area around his lower back, and it needs to subside in order to relieve the pressure. Then we have to be smart about it. Maybe put him in the pool, or get him back into it without taking chances of hurting him again."</div></p>
We should put more of that rough stuff on our team. Collins should start using his body to hurt people too. Amd maybe, when he's fully recovered, a bigger Krstic could throwsome elbows. Let's start whacking people around and show other teams that playing against the Nets hurts.</p>
i thought mags play ok yesterday. he shot 1 airball then shot another one from the FT line. one thing that you do notice watching mags is how long he is when he goes after rebounds which is very good thing obviously. he still has a ways to go if he wants to be a starter</p>
He's hired to be a goon here. Play physical, beat people up. Something we lacked in the Cleveland series.</p>
