All I know is the 360 will always be a couple of steps ahead of PS3. Why you may ask? Just one reason, it has the backing of microsoft and bill gates. 'nuff said.

As for games being better on the ps3 rather than the 360? You're dreaming, because all the sports games for example are much better (graphics, gameplay) on the 360 then ps3. So are the other games.

And again, I'll probably end up buying the ps3 (in a year or year and a half) just for grand turismo and metal gear. Thats what makes the ps3 worth buying. But it doesn't make it better then the 360 (which has its own exclusive games, which break records, which won't be broken again).

QUOTE (CelticBlood)

Well I have to say the graphics would be way better than 360's, gameplay I don't know its probaly the same as 360, and its just easier to play with PS3's controller, its much more simple and makes it more fun, it fits in your hand perfectly.
How would the graphics be better? It's already been shown that games are currently better looking on the 360. To point out a few - any game EA makes, RS: Vegas, Oblivion, etc. All those games are on both systems, all of the run better on the 360. And how is the 360 controller complicated? I honestly think it's the single best controller ever made. The joysticks are in perfect spots, the triggers are in a much more convenient spot than the ones on the PS3 controller, the bumpers work great, etc. Now, don't take offense to this, but I honestly think you're just a delusional PS3 fanboy who think that anything Microsoft touches is garbage, but if Sony took that garbage and put in on their system, making no changes at all, it'd be amazing. I mean, to say that "Bioshock is a crap game cause it's on the 360, but on the PS3 it'd be amazing"....that alone tells me that. Bioshock is an amazing game, period. The PS3 wouldn't make a damn bit of difference in that, unless you're just a biased fanboy like yourself that thinks Microsoft can do no good and Sony can do no wrong.

Thanks to those who commented on what the thread was about.

For the record, I had the same experience with Resident Evil 4, and I know I'd be in the minority with that one.

I actually had that problem with Tony Hawk Underground. Surprising, considering how much I loved the unrealism of THPS 2.

Back on topic, I thought BioShock would be the game of the year, one of the best. Surprised people are having trouble enjoying it.

And I'm surprised about RE4, speeds. I loved every aspect of that game, it was so much fun. Couldn't put it down till I beat it.

MGS:PO on the other hand, sometimes that game is a lil tough to play. It's probably having the same effect that Bioshock/RE4 is having on you guys. And BBall games will also take precedence over any other video game. Those are the games you can never put down, once you've gotten into.

    Oh yeah, and BTW.... PSP>>>>PS3+XBOX360

The targetting system drives me nuts. I'm stuck defending the farmhouse. I might put the difficulty down a level to beat that part. I've found most of the game enjoyable but the idea that you can't move and shoot, or turn around with your gun with any efficiency really irritates me. I don't know why Capcom is so stubborn.

Maybe you just don't like those type of games? I noticed a lot of similarities between BioShock and Resident Evil. Obviously one had more action than the other, but both games depended a lot on building an atmosphere, creating suspense, etc. to engage the player. I tend to love games like that. I get absorbed into a storyline and can play it for hours.

As for my actual thoughts on the game, I loved the graphics, storyline, atmosphere, concept, etc., but I thought the gameplay was a bit too repetitive/formulaic at times. It was a pretty easy game, except for the random parts where you'd meet one of those gigantic machines. Beating those didn't require a tonne of skill or strategy, aside from basically stocking up on ammo/health and finding cover.

Half-Life 2 is my favourite game of all time and it is patient and atmospheric, like BioShock. It is a little more linear though, and BioShock and RE4 are both games where you re-tread the same ground, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I just rented BioShock a couple of days ago and cant seem to put the controller down (quite the opposite of you speeds), I love the gameplay, graphics, story and just the atmosphere the game creates of an underwater city.....How far have you gone (no spoilers please)? I just got to the part where you collect pictures for the research guy and then he tries killing you, couldnt really understand what the deal was with him as the volume was way down on my tv so I wouldnt wake anyone up. And if you can give me a tip on any easy or easier ways to kill a Big Daddy let me know.

Past that, maybe a couple of hours ahead of you at most.

It's expensive to use rockets to take down a big daddy but that is usually what i do, combined with shotgun fire.

Im getting really far in the game and there are parts about it that can get repetative (combat, hacking, objectives) which could always draw away your interest but for some reason to me its one of those games I cant stop playing. I have actually gotten really far and have been playing no-stop when I come home from work. My only negative comment I have is the save system, the game basically does not punish you for dieing...it kind of took away the excitement and suspense a little from the game knowing the fact that I can now bust through the door not worrying weather il die or not because my progess will be saved, you can Kill the Big Daddys this way. You just keep fighting them and the damage you did to them transfers over after you have been killed.
