Saturday will be the first time I have seen a pro bowl game. Why? I just want to hear what they say about Manning finally winning a Super Bowl and about Tiki's last game before he retires. I might be able to see some Vince Young as he plays the #3 QB, I think. McNair handed him the spot just like another fellow Raven by the name of Ray Lewis. And... I have nothing planned for that day so it would make sense. Just thought you guys might wanna know. I'm still bitter about seeing Shawne Merriman in the game but...
The first Pro Bowl that I can remember watching was around 1977. Bob Griese played in the game. It seems like it was played on a Monday Night and I had to get permission to stay up and watch it. I do remember that the players didn't wear their team helmets. There were AFC and NFC helmets. Personally, I like seeing the team helmets. It makes it easier to identify players.
That's no big deal. Dale remembers when air was invented. Just the other day he was singing the praises of his AARP involvement.

Off the top of my head, I can only remember a handful of the players that I am certain made the Pro Bowl. So, if they are all wearing the same helmet, I might have to see the name on the back of the jersey to know who I'm seeing. On the other hand, if you guys want to chip in and buy me a large screen HD-TV so that I don't have to strain my aging eyes to see the players, I'll put your name on my walker-of-fame.

I only got to see most of the first quarter up to where Adalius Thomas returned the fumble for a TD. After that, I was disappointed. The rules were really lame with the whole "no blitzing and no challenges." I did see what happened to Brees. He did take a huge hit by Suggs. The only play that stood out of what I saw was Ed Reed taking an intercepted pass from Tiki and break away for about 19 yards. He even broke a tackle from Donald Driver at the 1. As a person by the name of Borat says it, "NICE!"
