I got into it more once I seen European club matches in 2003, before that I only played the sport with my friends as a hobby kicking around the ball and all that. There was no way for me to watch Euro clubs before that time anyway due to lack of a channel to supply the matches. I believe I was 12 or 13 the first time I started to play the sport casually and only really got into it that year in 2003 when I was 20.

I grew up with Gooner fans, my first game was an FA match (Aston Villa vs. Coventry City) in 1999 when I was six. I didn't really follow football until I moved to the U.S. and I wanted to be different (selfish I know). So, me and a group of friends startedup the APL (Ashburn Premier League) and we started playing footie. Then some of my friends started to"choose" Premier teams, likeWest Ham, Spurs, Liverpool. My first Arsenal game was against Pompey when I was 10 at Highbury andmy most recent game was Arsenal vs. Inter Milan in the Emirates Cup over the summer. My knowledge of the players has grown drastically. I am now 17.

I grew up watching AC Milan games lol. I was born in kosovo in 85, started watching soccer and understanding the game around 91, and we'd usually get the italian league the most, being that it was the closest country (just on the other side of the adricatic sea).

As for worldcup / eurocup, the first one was the world cup 98, I remember it like today, we were on vacation in montenegro, I was rooting for brazil in the final. lol

Then 99 moved to the US and then watched the euro 2000, which france won. (not sure which channels showed it, but I remember we saw the games, maybe we bought a special channel or something)

Then from that point, I've pretty much watched all the competitions, pretty much anything that the channels throw at us. [IMG]

    Every four years, lol.

It used to be that way. The first World Cup I remember really caring about was the one where Brazil beat Italy in a shoot out.

Nowadays, I'm a causal but keen observer. I listen or watch soccer every Saturday morning and follow the MLS and TFC pretty closely. This past year is the first year I've really gotten into it after watching the Gold Cup, U-20 WC and the first season of my FC.

I as a lad, grew up watching the world cup with my dad since I was 6yrs old. My first was Mexico 86", I fell in love with the game from there. I grew up a fan of the Serie A teams (Milan,Juve,Inter), favorite players were Maldini and Roberto Baggio, Romario. Then by accident I happened one day, I was channel surfing on my Tv, and ended up seeing an Arsenal vs Manu match, it was so exciting, there was so much passion on the field from both sides, it just got me hooked. I used to be a "La Liga" Fan, but found out the prem was alot more entertaining, more physical too, and it requiered more skill to score goals. I chose Arsenal because they werent as famous as Manu and liverpool at that time and still managed to play good footie. Im not a bandwagon fan, never have been, never will, so you will always see me rooting for the gunners even if we have a shite season.
