Juventus are lining up a bid for Arsenal defender William Gallas, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Gallas’ relationship with Gunners Coach Arsene Wenger is said to have deteriorated in recent weeks and the Bianconeri are set to pounce.

Juventus director of sport Alessio Secco is already in London negotiating a deal with Chelsea to bring Frank Lampard to Turin, and will now make the short journey from West to North London to sound Arsenal out about Gallas.

Gallas is not the only Arsenal player said to be of interest to the Cadetti champions. Ivorian defender Kolo Toure and Brazilian midfielder Gilberto Silva are also admired by Coach Claudio Ranieri.

While Toure is unlikely to want to leave the Premiership leaders, Gilberto could certainly be tempted. The 31-year-old has lost his place in the starting line-up to Mathieu Flamini and is said to be considering his future at the club.

Wenger is likely to let Gilberto leave if the right offer comes in, as he already has the talented Abou Diaby and Denilson coming through in the central midfield positions.

I cant really say hes been solid for us this season, we have managed to win without him.so if the price is right, gallas can go, hes getting pretty old and has a very unpredictable attitude.

True, he hasn't been a part of this new team at all. (maybe of the field as a mentor)

He's our captain so him leaving could damage Morale. but, IMO he shouldn't have been Captain anyway. It should have been Gilberto or Toure with the other as Vice captain alongside Fabregas.
