Italy have dropped two places in the FIFA World Rankings, despite victories over Georgia and South Africa this month.

The Azzurri had been on top but have now been overtaken by South American giants Argentina and Brazil.

Argentina arefirst after 2010 World Cup qualifying wins over Chile and Venezuela, while the Selecao somewhat surprisingly move into second after their draw with Colombia and victory over Ecuador.

France move up two places to fourth, German drop a position to fifth, while Spain, Holland, Portugal, the Czech Republic and Croatia form the rest of the top 10.

England have slipped two places to 11th after their disastrous Euro 2008 defeat to Russia, with Guus Hiddink’s team are the big movers, rising ten places to 16th.

Scotland are just two places behind their British rivals, despite their disappointing 2-0 loss in Georgia last Wednesday.
