McMicheal is only 27 years old and had 62 receptions last year with shuffling QBs. I think McMicheal can be a pro bowl TE, and will get offers soon.

I am hoping that the Panthers get him because our OC Davidson wants a pass catching TE like he had in K2.

I was surprised that Mueller could not find a trade partner For McMike. Oh well, the house cleaning continues.

Funny. Miami signed David Martin to be McMike's replacement. I was hoping Miami would get Kinney released by Tennessee.

It would not surprise me to see McMichael end up in St Louis

His agent is Drew Rosenhaus. It's a thin TE market too. That probably means he'll want to be overpaid like everyone else. I'm all for bringing him in but I hope the Packers don't make a desperate move for him.

Per Rosenhaus; <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Randy at $4 million is a steal. ... Randy understands it's a business, so he's not taking it personally. ... If he's released, guess what? He'll make a lot more than the $4 million he'll make with the Dolphins</div>
What can you Pack fans tell me about David Martin who the phins signed? If memory serves, he was a WR in college @ Tennessee.

No. I did not. I knew when he was traded for that it was a 1 yr deal unless he really lit it up.
He performed no better or worse than Feidler, Lucas, or Feeley and therefore was expendable.

Martin flashed greatness, but spent most of his time in greenbay in cold tub rather than the frozen tundra, he has a great skill set and has really come on as a blocker, he's fast and has great hands, but he can't stay healthy, he's like a walking injury.

Im not sure if i'd want McMichael on our team, he is a big name thats for sure, but his production tailed off alot like Bubba's did last year(not saying he did better or worse, just a similar drop off). McMichael dropped so many Balls during the Packers game i was at, and can almost be blamed for their loss, and probably two of Joey's interception. at this point I think of him as a Faster more athletic Bubba, just not as good of a blocker. But hey if we can bring him in cheaply im cool with it, but thats most likely not the case.

Thanks for the 411. I really don't what to expect.

Releasing McMike surprised me but I really like the house cleaning Mueller & Cameron are doing.

Um Martin is not that big of a loss, he has done literally almost nothing in all the years he's been with Greenbay, He's Tyrone Davis MK-II, gives enough to tease you but then dissapoints.

Maybe a fresh start in Miami will help him but I wouldn't expect too much. He has all the skills, im just not sure if he can put em together.

Hey. No Jack Bauer impersonations now. Torture is bad... especially on TV show... but I digress.

I agree that McMichael is a Pro Bowl caliber TE. It'll be interesting to see who decides to pay the big bucks for him. Alot of Titans fans seem to think that we need a replacement for Erron Kinney. Uhh.. hello people, ever heard of the name Ben Troupe? Yeah, we'll be fine at TE.

Actually, McMichael ISN'T a Pro Bowl caliber TE. He might have that potential, but he has yet to play up to it. I saw him drop way too many passes last year to be considered Pro Bowl caliber. In fact, he acted more like a volleyball player the way he would knock the ball up in the air so that the other team could intercept it.

This is the most accurate assessment of Martin posted so far. He's been a career back-up when healty and to be honest I'm suprised he's stuck around this long.

On the positive side, I don't recall ever seeing Martin's name in the Green Bay police logs. He'll be a <u>big improvment</u> over McMichael in the character department.

Marcus Pollard may have been a better low rent TE choice for Miami.

I was hoping for Erron Kinney. Pollard would have been nice. I think Miami drafts a TE... Harline or Coats from BYU or Herrian from Nebraska would be fine with me.
