Even though I've been outspoken against Benson before on this forum I really do believe he's going to be a solid all around good back for you. He just needs to mature from what I read.

The Bears are relying on a flaky former Longhorn. Sounds familar?

ummm incredible trade for the Jets they got a reliable running back for almost nothing. they traded the 37th pick in the draft and got back the 67th? pick in the draft and Thomas Jones. Jones and Washington in the backfield will do the Jets very well this season i'm really excited about the trade.

What were the Bears thinking there? Has Benson proved to be an every down back?

The Bears move up 30 spots in the 2nd round and give up Jones. That's the deal.

Benson hasn't proved he can even stay healthy for a full season... This is the worst trade ever.. if the jets gave us a 2nd round selection and we just gave them Jones i would hate it but it wouldn't be like this we give you our 2nd round and a very good RB.. for your 2nd.. What a worthless trade!!

The Bears own 2 picks in the 30's but the Jets got the better end of this deal.

Well i used to question alot of things my team did.. But I trust Lovie smith and his judgement and if he thinks Benson can carry the load.. then i will stand by his choice.. I hate the trade but what is done is done..

our offense doesn't have the same flexibility wit just benson. we cant run tosses and quick screens wit benson. he is a hard runner, but when we needed to switch up the flow and bring jones back in he used 2 wait 4 his blocks 2 develop and get more yards. benson just hits the hole and doesnt even have his head up most of the time
