Steve Austin is in the latest WWE.com “Superstar to Superstar” feature with actor David Arquette. Throughout most of the feature they talk about films, but there are some wrestling related topics. Below are the highlights:

On becoming WCW World Champion, Arquette says, "You know, it all happened because I was doing this movie Ready to Rumble and they were using all of the WCW stars at the time. I got to know a couple of the people who promote the show, and they threw me in the ring and people hated me enough that they wanted me to come back. Then, in a strange twist and turn, I got the belt — which pissed a lot of people off. I don’t blame them. It was a good time, I’m proud to be in the record books. I just hope I didn’t take down the whole company."

Austin's response to Arquette: "I don’t think it was you who took them down; I think it was ultimately their fate. When you became the WCW champion, how was the backstage politics? When you’ve got guys, and that’s what they do for a living, and all of a sudden, you, David Arquette, a very successful actor comes in — who has probably never stepped foot inside of a wrestling ring — were there any feelings of animosity toward you? What was it like?"

Arquette's response: Yeah. There were some bitter and very angry people. I mean, just traveling with wrestlers — that was the most amazing part of the show. Things like getting drunk with Ric Flair, just being a part of this crazy world, just seeing how amazing and talented wrestlers are. Your bodies suffer, and you guys are running non-stop city to city — it’s like a carnival. It’s crazy. So, I gained a lot of respect for wrestling."

A question from Austin, including a comment that will annoy TNA fans: "Knowing wrestling like you do, being in WCW for a little bit and now seeing the business today with really only WWE around — you’ve got some stuff in TNA but no major stars — who is your favorite guy going right now? If you had to pick one guy you had to have come back into the wrestling business and work with, who would it be?"

Arquette's response: "Gregory Helms did all of my stunts in Ready to Rumble. I’m a big fan of his. I know he’s out now. I like the whole Triple H and Mr. McMahon thing that’s been going on, the family dynamics is always good entertainment. I like The Great Khali — I always like to see a giant. That’s a good type of thing. You know, Ric Flair is also one of my favorites of all-time. Whenever he does anything, I just love it."

Austin's response: I think he’s probably the greatest world champion that ever lived. I have so much respect for that guy.

Yeah I understand where your going with that...But Sting is a very good wrestler and I don't see why he won't come to the WWE, on an interview he said he loved Vince and that he respected him, so why not come to us instead of going to TNA which sucks.

I'd love to see some Sweet Chin Music knock the People's eyebrow into the next millenium.

Though, Hulk Hogan kissed Vince's butt enough so he "beat" HBK when they had their feud going awhile back. I can imagine Dwayne trying to do the same thing.Could anyone outmanuever HBK when it comes to backstage politics especially whenhe has Vince's son-in-law in his corner?

Not sure about the Hogan vs Flair rumor,

No disrespect but I can imagine how nasty that would be to see them wrestle at their age, their skins all moving around wrinkly... They would chop eachother with their man-boobs. LOL

But yeah that would be a great fight, it would be historical. Maybe they should make that match at WM 24.

Austin is an idiot to say TNA has no stars. Sting IS an icon. Kurt Angle has good in-ring skills. Angle is one of the few people that HBK hasn't had to carry the last couple of years. Somoa Joe continues to impress me with his speed and agility for a guy that doesn't look like he would have much speed or agility. TNA has a lot of talent and hopefully they will get to developing it now that they have a two hour show.

I don't see Sting ever going to the WWE. He wants to spend time with his family and TNA doesn't tour like the WWE, so he can work a much more limited schedule.

I would rather see the Rock work a program with the Great Kahli or Umaga rather than HBK. First, the Rock doesn't have the in-ring skills to keep up with HBK. Second, the Rock's great strength is his mic work, so I rather hear him cut promos on someone who I'd like to see made fun of and I think the Rock mocking Umaga would be hysterical. The Rock vs Kennedy might make for some memorable promos as well. Of course, all the Rock talk is moot because he isn't coming back. I'm sure the movie companies that he is working for won't permit it.

The Rock Vs Mr.Kennedy know that will be more intersting than HBK wow I could imagine the fight.TNA has great wrestlers and all but I don't think they are capable of comepeting with the WWE, the WWE is unbeatable they have all of everybodys favorite wrestlers unless all off the major wrestlers leave the WWE then TNA might be able to compete with the WWE.

The Rock vs The Great Khali or Umaga would be HORRIBLE, I would rather want to see something like Y2J vs HHH vs HBK vs The Rock in a Hell In A Cell or The Rock vs Cena in a street fight lol.
