QUOTE

In an interview with Inside Hoops, Jamaal Magloire says any time “you’re playing on a team that has a chance to contend for a world championship is always a good situation to be in.” Magloire adds that he has “an opportunity to start and play”and with Jason Kidd, he might regain All-Star status. Is there anything fans will be surprised about in his game? “My ability to be able to run up and down for lengths of time, is something I haven’t shown.”

I can't wait until he does his first "blind" dunk.

Seriously though, as long as he rebounds like he is capable of doing, I'll be one happy fan. His ability to hit the boards will be key this year.

I've always liked Magloire. Humble guy, plays good, never complains. He's going to have a good year in Izod Arena. (is that correct? the name?) lol

Magloire's own ability to learn the offense plays a lot into our chances as well. He adds a lot to this team, but unless he functions in a motion offense, and can replicate Twin's intangibles than its all for nothing since he won't get enough minutes on the floor. If he can, we've got an amazing starting 5 that compliments each other well. I just hope he realizes that their chances rest on him to an extent, and can beat out Ol' Sausage Lips.

I thought he did complain about his role on the Bucks and the Blazers? Either way, he stills plays his ass off out there, whether he's getting big minutes or not, so I see what's your saying.

And the name is correct, haha.

I doubt he'll make all-star status, as well. He's gotta play his ass off and average a good double double to do that, and that looks pretty doubtful to me....although I'm sure Kidd will raise his game.

I was thinking of the charlotte / new orleans days. Never missed a game the year he made the allstar team. (i'm pretty sure on that one)

Or maybe he can be on the floor much of the time Collins is off it. People have been saying it'd be great for 18-22 minutes for Collins, so there should be plenty of time for Magloire to be on the floor in place of the 26-30 minutes Collins isn't on the floor.

His rebounding history bodes well for Kidd leading us in rebounding another season. Saves his body, and I'm sure he'll reward Magloire with some sweet dimes.
