    BLACKSBURG, Virginia (Ticker) -- Boston College coach JeffJagodzinski will have to remind his club what Atlantic CoastConference action is all about.


    Jagodzinski's second-ranked Eagles play their first ACC gamesince mid-September on Thursday when they visit No. 8 VirginiaTech.


    Boston College (7-0, 3-0 ACC Atlantic) began its season withconference wins over Wake Forest, North Carolina State andGeorgia Tech.


    But since their 24-10 road win over the Yellow Jackets onSeptember 15, the Eagles have played four non-conference games,all wins. The Eagles have not played since a 27-14 win at lowlyNotre Dame on October 13.


    Heisman Trophy candidate Matt Ryan threw for 291 yards and twotouchdowns with an interception for Boston College, which alsoreceived two rushing TDs and one scoring catch from AndrewCallender.


    Virginia Tech (6-1, 3-0 Coastal) has won five straight gamessince getting crushed at Louisiana State on September 8, 48-7.

    The Hokies also last played on October 13, when they crushedhost Duke, 43-14, behind 258 yards and two TDs from SeanGlennon.


    Virginia Tech's former starting quarterback, Glennon took overfrom Tyrod Taylor in the second quarter after the freshmansprained his right ankle.


    "I'm cautiously optimistic about his chances of playingThursday," Hokies head trainer Mike Goforth said of Taylor, whohad a cast removed last Thursday. "I think he's doing great."

    Virginia Tech is 9-4 against its former Big East Conferencerival but lost last year, 22-3.
