Oct 25 - The injury is officially being called a "mild sprain," but there is nothing mild about how Quentin Richardson went down Monday night against Boston.

The way Richardson remembers it, Paul Pierce fouled him, and when no foul was called, Richardson raced to the other end of the court and prevented a layup by fouling Pierce. And yes, this time the foul was called.

Richardson's left ankle sprain sidelined him for the second half against Boston, and the Knicks decided to keep him out of last night's 103-90 victory over visiting Philadelphia. However, the club expects Richardson to be ready for the Nov. 2 season opener in Cleveland when he can battle LeBron James the same way he went after Pierce. -- New York Daily News
