Game Thread: Cleveland @ Boston (preseason)
(1-5) @ (3-3) Friday, October 26, 2007 - 7:30 pm ET TD BankNorth Garden (Boston, MA) Game aired on ESPN & Comcast Sports Net

The Celtics are set to wrap up the preseason tonight at the TD BankNorth Garden against the defending Eastern Conference Champions, the Cleveland Cavaliers. There are two words to describe the feeling of about 90% of <st1lace>Boston</st1lace> fans, regarding the end of preseason: “Thank God!” In years past as a Celtics fan, it has always been fun to watch preseason games. You looked forward to it, and thought to yourself “Man, I hope Gerald Green gets playing time tonight.” Now, we’re in the same camp as every fan of every competitive team in the league – “preseason is too long, let’s get it over with.”

The starters are expected to play tonight, including Kendrick Perkins, who has missed the last three games due to a sore left hamstring. Also expect them to possibly play regular season-like minutes, as the team has a week off before their regular season opener on November 2 against the Washington Wizards. This will also be the Celtics’ first time on national television this year, and the game will be aired nationally on ESPN as well as locally on Comcast Sports Net.

Projected Starters Zydrunas Ilgauskas vs. Kendrick Perkins Drew Gooden vs. Kevin Garnett LeBron James vs. Paul Pierce Devin Brown vs. Ray Allen Larry Hughes vs. Rajon Rondo

Key Matchup vs.
No explanation needed, honestly.

I was worried you wouldn't make the game thread. haha
This should be a good game. The starters will probably play a lot of minutes, to get ready for the first game.
And I might go to the game, waiting for my brother to come from work, and we might go together.

Ended up not going.
Oh well, we'll go to regular season game. lol
Good game some far. Big Baby playing really well.

Boston Celtics 114 - 89 Cleveland Cavaliers
Great game. The Cavs are missing Varejao and Pavlovic. Without them, they have no chance of repeating what the did last season. But even with them it will be tough, and I'm sure you know the reason why not. haha
GO CELTICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
