<span class="titolo">Ramos To Pen 'Dizzying' Four Year Spurs Deal</span></p> <span class="sommario">Juande Ramos will pen a four year deal with Tottenham on Saturday morning, one he belives was too good to turn down.</span></p> <p class="story">Ramos resigned as Sevilla coach on Friday evening, less than 24 hours after Martin Jol was sent packing by Tottenham.</p> <p class="story">He will fly to London on Saturday morning, where he will pen a four year deal.</p> <p class="story">He has been learning English for a year now in preparation for a move to the Premiership, and has admitted openly that the opportunity to manage Tottenham was one he simply could not turn down.</p> <p class="story">Confirming the departure, a statement onSevilla's officialwebsite read: "Juande Ramos appeared on the third floor of the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to present a document in which he asked for his contract to be rescinded under clause 1006/85 at 22.35pm.</p> <p class="story">"Ramos was accompanied by his physical trainer Marcos Alvarez, who presented the same document to the general director of the club, Jose Maria Cruz, in the presence of Ramon Rodriguez Monchi, the club's sporting director.</p> <p class="story">"The now ex-Sevilla coach declined the possibility of giving a press conference at the club's training facilities and has chosen his website as a means of saying goodbye to Sevilla FC."</p> <p class="story">Inthat goodbye message,Ramos wrote: "All I can say to the red and white family of the Sanchez Pizjuan is that no matter how far away I go, I will always remain a Sevillista at heart.</p> <p class="story">"I assure youthat nobody will ever be closer to you."</p> <p class="story">"This has been the harderst decision of my life. It was a very difficult, but I had to do this for my career and my family.</p> <p class="story">"Sometimes life presents you with an opportunity that you cannot turn down, and for me, that seems to be now."</p> <p class="story">He leaves Champions League side Sevilla to take on Uefa Cup side Tottenham, in what he admits is "the biggest challenge of his professional and personal career."</p> <p class="story"></p> </p>
Great move by the Spurs. Ramos has always been one of my favorite coaches and he has done wonders with a Sevilla team that doesn't have any stars. (except kanoute, if you count him a star)</p> Spurs will be back in the chase now, but it might be late to win it, they'll probably end up 4th and get in the Champions League next season.</p> </p>
