"...then throw in the wild card, the rook (Sean Williams) who can jump and touch the top of the backboard. He can out run anybody. He can change a game by himself."
http://njmg.typepad.com/zzone/2007/10/capt...dd-is.html#more

i really hope sean continues to get high praise from teammates. i hope he gets some legit playing time this year beacuse i hate when there are good young players who have high potential sitting on the bench all year to "learn" when i think the best learning experience is playing. yes he is learning and will learn on the bench, but when possible i want him in the game. put him in with twin if it makes frank feel more comfortable. i just wana see sean and kidd play together for a while..could bring back some amazingly awesome memories

he needs to be in the dunk contest. no question. THAT will get alot of attention for both him as an up and coming individual as well as the Nets team
That's insane if it's true. Absolutely insane. A wild card indeed.
Who knows what he could do if given the minutes, and I'm a lot less optomistic about him than most of the posters on this baord.

Dwight could do that, Travis Outlaw could do that, and I believe Amare used to be able to do that. Good to see he's in good company with athleticism.
That means nothing, tho, if he can't learn to put it to good use. I hope he does.

I have seen enough of Dwight and Amare to know that big men don't belong in the contest.

why not? I think he seems a bit more lean and atheletic than those two and maybe more innovative (too early too tell obviiously) who knows, maybe VC would motivate him to enter..or vise versa

Yeah, that was creative, but still.

But he didn't, which is a big reason why Sean shouldn't be in the dunk contest.
It'd be a waste of time. Big men are judged so unfairly in dunk contests. See, Shawn Kemp, Dwight Howard. Both should have won it their respective years. Sean would never win it if those 2 couldn't.

Again, I'd kill to see someone wearing in-line skates dunk the ball after a triple axle. Theworld-class figure skaters have incredible vertical leaps and I wonder if they could do it, even though they areshort.

Did anyone actually read the whole article? It seemed poorly written/edited. so many errors. ugh.

I don't think its such a big deal he can touch the top of the backboard.. He can probably get higher. I mean I'm 6'4 and I can dunk and he's like 6'11 and has 10x's the hops i do! and to peg182.. i doubt Nichols will be in the 3 point shooting contest considering his ass got cut.

Alot of people in the NBA can touch the top. James White can and he's much short. I'm pretty sure LeBron can too.
