Apparently Miami is considering trading for David Carr.

In other QB news from Miami, Trent Green has stated publicly that HE wants to play for Miami.

    Film at 11!

I'd rather have Brad Johnson than Green even though TG is familar w/ Cam's scheme.

I'd prefer Carr over BJ & TG. Carr who is younger :einstein: completed and 60% of his passes w/ Houston's O line which as I understand was worse than Miami's.

They were or still are trying to rework Green's contract. Will he accept the Vets minimum?

That being said, it all depnds Daunte. I've heard he's not 100% yet but the real issue is his adaptabilty to Cam's scheme.

Bottom line; Miami is looking at its 2nd straight season w/ bringing 2 new QB's into the franchise. I am really thrilled about that. [IMG]

and another tedford guy at that [IMG], Feely, Joey, David, Kyle Boller is next years addition! jk lol. at least their moving on up in 2002 draft prospects from number 3 to number 1! [IMG].

In all seriousness I think Carr will break the Tedford QB mold if he finds a team with a somewhat stable O-line. I think this only because he was "tutored" by tedford for a single year so his mechanics weren't totally rewritten by JT.

Wow, no takers for David Carr. Houston just released him and got nothing in return. There ya go Dolphins, he's all yours now.

So...did Matt Millen take over the Texans' front office and I missed the memo? You can't tell me that the Dolphins, Chiefs or Raiders wouldn't have given up a 2nd day pick for Carr with the stipulation that he re-works his contract.

I mean, come on... Outright release? Craziness...

Domanick Davis (Williams) was cut, too. Maybe the Packers will bring him in and see how his knee is doing.

I like Trent Green, but his age and the head injury he sustained last year are the two reasons that I hope the Dolphins don't pick him up. I'm not sure that David Carr can be a starting QB, but signing him makes a lot more sense. The Dolphins need to try and get younger. Of course, I'd rather have Brady Quinn on the team, but that's probably just wishful thinking.

I think Carr has more upside than Harrington did.

Shame on you Dale. I can't deal w/ another phins fan wanting Quinn. Miami should get either Rowe of NV-Reno or Kolb from Houston.

Stanton (Mich St) or Edwards (Stanford) would be unacceptable. I'd be barfing Aqua and Orange for weeks. It pains me, as U of Utah alumnus, but could live with John Beck from BYU as a phin.

BQ will IMO the 2nd coming... of Rick Mirer.

No decision will be made on Daunte until after the April minicamp. If C-pep goes, I could live w/ the depth chart as such Lemon, Carr, Hamdan, & Rowe/Kolb on the practice squad.

    Hilarious.

Does this mean the Texans will draft Dwayne Jarrett?

Same deal for Randy McMichael I guess its a buyers market or something.

i think david carr should go 2 the vikings. im sure he wants 2 go somewhere with a good offensive-line so he doesnt get killed repeatedly again, and if they draft ted ginn jr. in the draft that would help him out with deep threats troy williamson and possession reciever marcus robinson. he will have some options

I wonder what will happen with Quinn if the dolphins get Carr and Trent Green gets traded to the lions. The only other possible team in the top 10 that would draft Quinn would be the vikings, but they spent a 2nd rounder on Tarvaris Jackson and he showed improvement at the end of the year.

In Cameron's press conference, yesterday, it was stated (see post #9) there will be an open competition at April's mini-camp which will include Daunte.

So, until then, anything could happen.

Carr is meeting with the Panthers and Seahawks next week. I would like to see the panthers lock him to a 4 year contract, he can be a good QB when given an offensive line. He could compete with Jake Delhomme for that starting spot.

Its kinda ironic that the panthers are bringing Carr and Harrington in, because those are the two QBs that carolina picked in between when they picked peppers with the 2nd overall.

Cleveland is interested in Green but so far his agent has only talked with the phins.

I personally would prefer Carr he's younger and cheaper.

A Carr possibly headed for Miami

A Traylor being pulled out of Miami.

    A "Tank" rolling through Chicago,

    A "Bus" headed for Canton.
