QUOTE

It may have only been theend of the exhibition season, but Detroit Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace was in mid-season form.
"I still don't think they (Cavaliers) beat us, we beat ourselves," Wallace said. "And I think we also fell victim to that personal NBA thing where they are trying to make it a world game and get (television) ratings. They wanted to put their darling in there (the NBA Finals) and they did, and look what ended up happening.
"This game ain't basketball anymore, it's entertainment," Wallace said. "It's starting to get like the WWF. There ain't no real wrestling anymore either. It's all fake."

Detroit News

Haha, right. It wasn't the Pistons that let Lebron in the lane whenever he wanted, it was the NBA. It wasn't Lebron who made all those clutch shots, it was the NBA. It wasn't the Pistons who couldn't contain Lebron, it was the NBA forcing the Pistons to do a shitty job guarding him.
Sure, 'Sheed, keep talkin.

I agree with Rasheed every sport in the US is bought if you pay attention to all the teams that are winning know they have never been champions.Look at the Boston Celtics years of crappy Basketball and then all of sudden you have three major superstars no way that could happen. What about the Rockies there the same and for now on you have a new champion every year that has not yet won.

Uh... what? MLB would have LOWER ratings because a team from Denver came. Denver's there because they're good.

QUOTE (Dark Hero)

I personally think every sport in the US is bought out nothings the same as before.

Not necessarily. Just look at teams like Detroit and San Antonio...They didn't necessarily spend all their money to get a great roster, they simply drafted the right players, picked up the right free agents, and made the right trades. Same with Miami.
Also, you don't see Dallas or Knicks winning any championships, and they're the teams that spend the most in the NBA. And the Yankees, when was the last time they won a championship? I can't even remember, to be honest. And I believe they spend the most, or 2nd most (someone correct me if I'm wrong there).

The rockies were on fire like no team in the mlb has ever been before, 21-1? No way was that the result of any sort of bias. As for Cavs/Pistons last year I don't think you can say the ref's won it for them, but their was clearly some bias with the whistle. Look at the GS/Dal series, is it a coincidence that the first two games GS didn't get much in the way of calls, but as soon as the fans got behind them in the remaining games the whistles were much more favorable to them? How about the year Miami won it, that ECF was the most horribly officiated series I have ever seen in my life. Wade went to the basket almost every possesion and the whistle followed on what seemed like 95% of them. If you say there isn't bias or a hidden agenda when it comes to NBA officiating, you need to open your eyes. It's there, and has been for awhile now.
