QUOTE

Steve Francis did not expect much, but sounded shocked that he might begin the season receiving little or no playing time at all. With the Rockets’ rotation taking shape and apparently excluding him, Francis said he did not know what he would do, but that he might have to do “something.” “That is going to be tough, that will be real tough for me,” Francis said. “If that’s the case, then I don’t know. I definitely didn’t come here not to play at all. Hopefully we can work something out.” Asked what sorts of options he might have, Francis said, “I don’t know. I can’t say.”

Source

Yep, it's been looking like this would happen for a few weeks now. Not sure why Francis should be so shocked. He hasn't played well in training camp, and Adelman isn't going to play 4 small guards in his rotation. He just needs to be professional, play hard in practice, and earn his way back into the rotation.
Here's video of Francis and Adelman discussing the situation in practice:
http://www.click2houston.com/video/14439331/index.html

Damn we haven't even tipped the season off yet and we have the franchise complaining about playing time............maybe we can trade him to a team who's looking for a pg...............

QUOTE (peg182)

Trade him to Boston. He can be their headache.

I'd kill myself if Steve Francis ever wore a Celtics uniform. He's the last thing we need.

He never adjusted.
His whole game was based on athlecism. Its pretty sad but if you think about it he is still the same player he was when he came into the league.

^^^dude has no sense of how to play without the ball in his hands for the most part....unless he is the offense he isn't comfortable in the offense......
