Thron just did an excellent job of cutting lose some dead weight.</p> I think the last thing he'll do is go and add some more.</p> Hite looked AWFUL in the preseason; summer league success doesn't translate to the regular season.</p> No one out there right now would see any meaningful playing time barring injuries... so imho, its best to keep the roster flexible and only bottom feed if we have to.</p>
I assume they will sign Houston, like everyone else. It is just fun to run through the list of decent prospects that have recently been cut. The Nets could probably deal with someone like that as a 15th man, but not a 14th man--not given the need for a good shooting wing. I assume they won't carry 15 players to start the year. I kinda feel bad for Ilic who really seemed to be getting use to the lifestyle here but it's hard to save a guy for the future when the guy ahead of him is only 24 years old.</p> I'd like to see one of these spots given to someone young like Byars, Jordan orNichols and get the use out of that D-League spot just to see what we can actually muster up.</p>
