Wright has to be feeling great, after seeing this.

this has nothing to do with wright. wright got picked up for his 3rd year too. plus you knew it was coming. wright has had plenty of time to impress management and give them reasons to pick him up for a 4th year but he hasnt done that yet. he should view his situation as a way to really make himself money. he now has a chance to sign a nice contract if he has a career year this year instead of being locked in at a certain number for next year even though it would have given him job security. if marcus, josh and wright were all from the same year and marcus and josh got pickedup for the 4th year and wright didnt they i could see wright being a little upset but he was given a 3rd year as marcus and josh have now been given.

Plenty to do with Wright. They won't pick up his option for next season, yet they will for 2 players who aren't as experienced and haven't contributed enough to the team.

Whatever, I'm wrong with everything. Sorry for trying to make a point.

what the hell? so i post a reply that disagrees with your point and then you act like i told you to stfu? the bottom line is that wright had his 3rd year picked up as did josh and marcus just now. your not going to decline marcus and josh after a rookie year. wright has had his time to impress the nets enough for them to pick up his 4th but he hasnt shown he is worth that money. im sure the nets like him to some extent, but picking up marcus and josh i dont think should make wright feel insulted or anything. its easier for one player to contribute more when hes around longer and when josh was on the shelf and the bench for a good part of the year. wright didnt exactly light the league up in his rookie year nor last year.

I pretty much think that you have to pick up on MWilliams and Boone at this point.

    LOL at you catching feelings.

You are just as sensitive as Gerry McNamara was when I told him I ordered onion rings in my value meal instead of fries and he threw a hissy fit!

They picked up Wright's third year option, so those guys are in the same boat he was last season.

To respond to your question, I think Boone's minutes will ultimately be determined by injuries . . . if everyone's healthy, I suspect that he'll start with around 12-16 minutes a night, depending on his effectiveness and the effectiveness (and foul trouble) of his teammates. Someone will get hurt, though. At some point he'll get a chance to play 25 minutes or more over a two or three week period.

Let's hope he makes good when he gets those big minutes. I could see him becoming important to us this year, sooner or later. If we're ever without Collins or Magloire, he'll become extremely important to us, to fill in for the defense we'd lose with losing either big man (which is likely/possible).

I get the impression that Collins is often hurt, but sucks it up for the good of the team instead of taking some time off. I wonder though--given the depth of the team this year, will he be more willing to rest when he needs it?

Am I the only one who's surprised that he played the bulk of the 4th quarter and overtime with 5 fouls, managing to lock down Gordon?
