Oct 29 - After being sidelined because of a left ankle sprain, new center Scot Pollard practiced for the first time during yesterday's open practice for season ticket-holders at TD Banknorth Garden.

The 6-11, 278-pounder took part in halfcourt scrimmaging and ran sprints.

"I did the first part of practice, all the noncontact stuff," Pollard said. "A couple drills. It felt pretty good. Hopefully, it won't blow up [last night] and I'll participate completely in practice [today]." -- Boston Globe

Nothing is for sure with him. He'll probably end up playing around 30 games for us and for the rest will be in the IL.
