Chris Bosh is a power forward. Unless he's a centre.

Andrea Bargnani is getting used to playing centre. Or, he's a power forward again.

An author of some note once asked, "What's in a name?" It's a question that dogs the Raptors already this season.

And no one seems to have an answer.

The players involved aren't sure who's what when, the guy in charge of making such designations doesn't seem at all concerned with the distinction and as the NBA regular season gets ready to unfold, no one seems to care in the least.

    "I'm a post," says Bosh.

"I do what I have to," says Bargnani.

"They're basketball players," suggests coach Sam Mitchell.

Anyone caught up in the difference between the two should know that it doesn't matter to them, so it shouldn't matter to fans.

In the last two pre-season games, Bosh guarded Cleveland centre Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Bargnani took forward Drew Gooden. Against Washington, Bosh was on centre Brendan Haywood and Bargnani looked after forward Antawn Jamison.

Some nights, Bosh is going to guard forwards and Bargnani will do centres. Mitchell said it would be a game-by-game, matchup-driven decision.
