What sticks out at me is how little traveling the Patriots have to do in the last two months, especially December. In December, they get three out of four home games and one little trip to Jersey to play the Giants, a non-divisional foe. Robert Kraft is a charmed man these days.

Packers get back to back Thursday Games. Should be interesting.

I'm really looking forward to the opener against Philly. Should be a good indication on how much the Packers have improved from early in 06 to early in 07. I hope McNabb plays too.

Holy cheese & razors. Dale & Bakes agree.

As for New England's schedule, its better to be lucky unless you are the Pats and are fortunatye enough to be both.

Moving on to whats really important; I see no reason why Miami can't win 8.

For some odd reason, I am actually anticipating both Ravens-Browns games. Someone tells me that Jamal would rather be going up against the Browns D instead of the Ravens. Other notable games for the Ravens is the Indianapolis Colts coming back to M&T and the San Diego game in which I am in the process of getting tickets for and spreading the word.

I don't see much difference between the Pats and Dolphins schedule except that the Pats get the Colts and Chargers while the Dolphins get the Raiders and the Texans, but that's because the formula puts first place teams against first place teams and so forth. Still, the Patriots get those games out of the way by week 9. They won't be playing those games with a season riding on them. The Dolphins last three games are against the Ravens, @ Patriots and Bengals, so don't talk to me about tough schedules. The Patriots clearly won out in the areas not determined by the formula and that's WHEN particular games are played.

oh please stop sounding foolish! every game matters no matter when it is scheduled & the difference in those 2 games is HUGE. Colts & Bolts are arguably the best 2 teams as opposed to the worst 2 which your precious Dolphins get to face. But you dont see me implying any conspiracy against the Pats.

Who's sounding foolish? Every knowledgable football fan knows that WHO you play is determined by a formula, so implying a conspiracy because the Pats drew the Colts and Bolts would be just plain silly. However, WHEN you play folks isn't determined by a formula and subject to shenanigans. Did they occur here? Well, the snowplow hasn't been found yet.

Face it DolphinDale.....we had a great schedule 2 years ago when we played both New England and Buffalo at home in December and we blew it. Now we are back to playing them at their place in December. We just need to learn how to play in the cold.

kinda like the "formula" that determines the value of compensatory picks that you apparently weren't aware of? We're talking about a 16 game season. Deciding when games are played really isn't that big of a deal. Pats, Jets & Bills all have to travel 3 hours south to Miami once every season to play in heat no matter what day on the calendar.

The NFL Management Council determines the value of compensatory picks and that's highly subjective. Salary, playing time and postseason awards are hardly absolutes like finishing first place in a division so you play the first place winners of the other divisions the following year. While I'm keenly aware of the so-called "formula" for compensatory picks, I think it subject to the polictics of the NFL. By the way, the Pats don't play in Miami until Oct. 31st. Oooh, what a heat wave. I wonder if you would be singing the same tune if the Pats were playing on the road 3 out of 4 games in December.

No because I'm not focused on such minor oddities as you are. I already knew the 07 schedule was going to be brutal for the Pats. The weather is so unpredictable for instance it's snowing in April here today. Perhaps you would even go so far as to suggest God favors the Pats as well? [IMG]

More people travel to escape the winter/cold/snow not vice versa or do Spring break and the term Snowbird (not just a ski resort here a short commute from my house) mean nothing?

    Ha ha ha!!!! woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Seriously, the further you are away from the coast the more the weather fluctuates. Its the nature (pun intended) of the system.

Enough about weather already. I wish it were July & I were in Las Vegas but then thats an issue for me, Al Gore, and my psychiatrist.
