Lynch to the pats makes little sense, they pretty much have the exact same player there with Mauroney who they drafted last year in round 1. The Packers going wideout in round 1 is possible but its aslo possible they may skip wide out on Day 1 all together. If Lynch is on the board i think they HAVE to take him.

And yet no one comments on why I have Calvin Johnson at #1...

BTW, I'll be posting my revised mock few days before the draft, maybe on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Lynch's stock will fall, he is overrated.

Did the Pats not lose Corey Dillon?

The Raiders need to lock up Josh McKown atleast before they pass on JaMarcus.
Especially while they still have Moss, they just need a QB too desperately.

But why would they draft another back who is almost exactly the same type of runner as Mauroney? The two are almost identical in running style, why would you waste a pick on something you already have? If they go RB it'll be later rounds and a different sort of runner.

I agree that RB is need #1 for Green Bay but Bowe is really good. He is the 2nd best WR in this year draft & he is from THE conference

Because the Pats go w/ BPA regardless of need or how their current roster looks.

Did you drop Russell to get the 3 LSU players back to back?
hahaha

What was your reasoning for:

Johnson first?
Quinn b4 Russell?
Bowe that early to Minn?
Russell Falling soo far???

Thanks for the back-up on my Mock choice

I seriously doubt that would EVER happen, THERE IS NO WAY he'd ever get past Tennessee, and I have serious doubts he even gets past Buffalo. The Pats may have the BPA mind set but there is now way you take a running back nearly identical to your current one in back to back years, if there was another type of runner available then i could see the possibility.

Johnson is basically this year's version of Reggie Bush in which is a rare prospect. I'm not saying Russell isn't but his weight and conditioning is scaring some. And history shows that overall #1 QB's are 50-50 hit-bust ratio (or something like that, I read it somewhere online). Quinn should go before since he is more polished but many can argue since Russell has more of an upside in terms of arm strength and possibly mobility. But if the Raiders have faith in Andrew Walter, then they don't go QB. And you can't really blame Walter for how bad they are offensively. You have to look at their O-line. I know they will address it in the second round.

IDK about Bowe going that early either since Meachem and Ginn are rated better but maybe I'm missing something.

Russell won't drop beyond the top 3 picks. All three of those teams have a question mark at the QB position. Someone will take him unless someone trades up.

How can you say this about Quinn? At many times this past year he was terribley inaccurate. He still hasn't beaten any good Defenses.

Quinn has performed well against some good defenses he hasn't beaten the team they belong too because his defense wasn't very good at all.

Yeah. Those Service academy D's are world beaters.

As for his accuracy, I love how the experts raved about how he only missed 6 attempts at his workout for scouts @ the ND practice facility.

Are you talkin to me? lol

I've heard Raiders are almost sold on CJ. There is a little conspiracy regarding Quinn, Weis, & Crennel.

Minny's WR don't exactly scream top flight. Troy Williamson & ? Are you kidding me?

There was a little fubar which caused JaMarcus to slip and putting 3 Bayou Bengals together. It has now been rectified.

Quinn didn't have the weapons that Russell had a ND. The only reliable target was Smardzija who left for baseball. And he has a slight edge because he worked with Charlie Weis who also worked with Tom Brady. And looking at what Tom has done, it's hard to turn him down.

So all those bad passes Quinn threw were because he had no weapons? Russell had no where near as bad of accuracy as Quinn. Plus Russell can be accurate 30 yards farther than Quinn.

Look at it this way..... You got a guy open for a split second, who is more likely to make it to him?
