I like your mock draft. I would give it an A. The picks I like are the Eagles 3rd rounder, Micheal Bush, because Eagles have been shopping Moats so they can draft a big back. Bush and Hunt are the only real bruising runners that the eagles could land for a backup role. Weddle was a little bit high, but I think the Patriots are the only team that would pick him in the first round because he is a Bill Belicheck type of guy. I think the panthers pick could happen. I like Jammal Anderson, because Rucker is getting older and older. I also like Patrick Willis, and Dwayne Bowe, and I wish we didnt have safety problems, because I would much rather have those three guys than a Safety like Nelson or Griffin. That top 5 is going to be so interesting this year because Detriot wants to move back, because they have picked up some good starting o-line threw free agency like Mutalo and Zach Piller and added George Foster threw the Bly trade, so the Lions are going to be the hardest team to gauge who they are going to pick. Gaines Adams would be a good pick for them because Marneilli is a d-line coach at heart. Ive heard rumors that they are also looking at Peterson, Calvin, and both QBs, so they could go lots of different ways. Porky, I have a hypothetical question for you, say the Browns selected Peterson instead of Quinn, where would he fall? And what would happen to Quinn if the Vikes decided they like Tarvaris Jackson too much to pick Quinn.
If AP goes to the Browns then I could see Quinn falling to the Vikings or Dolphins. One or the other. Culpepper's days are done in Miami or so they say so trading for Green and letting Quinn sit for a year behind him would be a pretty good move in my opinion. The Vikings are tough because you don't know if their for real with Quinn or if they are bluffing. Earlier in the year Childress said it was Jackson's and Bollinger's job to lose and now he said if Quinn is the best player for us we'll take him. In case Quinn does fall the Vikings could be putting on a show for the Dolphins who would possibly move up to #6 or #5 to take Quinn and that could ensure Gaines Adams or Laron Landry for Minnesota. It?s a hard call. I have a question. Part of my reasoning of putting Anderson to Carolina was because I had heard Peppers contract is expiring in a year or two and he wants to be the highest paid player of all time. Do you know anything about this? If so do you think Carolina would be willing to pay that much for Peppers. I?m guessing the deal would be totaled over 90 million which is a crazy amount. I think the Panthers need to have contingency plan. Either way Anderson is an upgrade over Mike Rucker in my opinion.
I wouldn't be agianst Chicago Chasing a WR in round 1.. Mushin is getting old.. and so is our Oline.. if we could get Jerrett and grubbs i would be ok with that
I know you & Dale were "exchanging ideas" but thats no reason to punish me by implying that Miami may take Quinn and then have them selcting Edwards w/ pick 60. The other picks foir Miami I like. Gonzales will be better @ the next level than Ginn I'd rather Miami take Quinn instead of Stanton or Edwards. Kolb (Houston) would be better than the previous 3 IMO. Miami will take a QB that is Mueller's MO... Kiper has Miami taking John Beck in the 2nd (I can't recall which one) and I can deal w/ them taking a BYU player and I graduated from the U of Utah.... BYU's chief rival.
The only reason I have Miami taking Edwards is because I don't believe Quinn falls to them. If he would then yeah without question I think they'd take Quinn and then in round 2 probably go CB and WR yet. I've been on the Leon Hall to Miami bandwagon for quite some time now so i really don't want to change it. Miami has four picks on Day 1 so QB is going to be one of them in my opinion.
I'll have to dig further but I believe Mueller usually wait until late day 1 or early day 2 to pick a QB. I'd like to see Miami take Satele of Hawaii. I know the phins have scouted him and word is he compares to Manuwai w/ Jville... Granted Faneca's contract is up soon. I don't think they take Satele. They drafted Marvin Philip out of Cal last yr The Steelers, I've read, are intrigued by Levi Brown, so who knows?

He can return kicks as well as play any defensive back position. Part of the reason I gave him to the Patriots is because the team has been known to reach for players who are smart and fitting into the system. Logan Mankins and Ben Watson come to mind. That seems to be the type of player they draft year in and year out especially in round 1.

Utah is no MIT academically but then Fresno is no Utah. The reason Mankins is a Patriot is Pat Hill is part of the Belichick coaching tree. Posluszny is from Penn St which is Linebacker U, so... I just pray that The Pats don't draft Spencer from Purdue. As far as Safeties go, The Mtn West Conf has another good one - Wendling From Wyoming. If not for Weddle, Wendling would have been DPOY last season.

He doesn't have much speed but he is great in coverage and his instincts are amazing. He's another smart player who would fit the system. I don?t think Nelson is as good as a prospect as people make him out to be. He has great upside but his combine was very average. He made up for it at the pro day but teams always factor in the combine a lot more than pro days.
Porky, Peppers contract runs threw 2008, and they defintly will resign him. But Rucker is likely gone, his contract is up also, and he is like 34 next year, so Anderson would be the best replacement for him. One interesting thing is that on the browns homepage, where there GM talks about the draft, the picture on the page is Calvin Johnson. I think the browns might do it, because Jurvicius is a 33 slot reciever playing as a starter. I think you draft Calvin, who is a physical specimen, I dont see how u can pass on Calvin. You can always pick up a backup RB later in the draft, but a guy like Calvin, only comes once in ten years.
