    2007 NFL Mock Draft

    1. Oakland Raiders- QB Jamarcus Russell- Andrew Walter is the QB of old, you just cant be a pocket QB anymore

    2. Detriot Lions- DE Gaines Adams- Marneilli is a d-line coach at heart. They added two starters and a quality backup on the oline, the main problem with that line was the RT, and it is fixed.

    3. Cleveland Browns- WR Calvin Johnson- Phil Savage loves Calvin, and will team up with Braylon Edwards. Joe Jurvicius is 33 years old and better slotted for the slot reciever

    4. Tampa Bay Bucs- OT Joe Thomas- The drafted Davin Joseph and Trueblood for the right, now solidify the left with Thomas. Right now Petigout is a good backup

    5. Arizona Cardinals- S Laron Landry- Adrian Wilson and Landry will team up for the best safety duo

    6. Washington Redskins- DT Amobi Okoye- Pass rush was horrible

    7. Minnestoa Vikings- RB Adrian Peterson- can pass on AP, Chester Taylor cant carry the entire load every season, would be even better spliting time 50-50

    8. Atlanta Falcons- DE Jammal Anderson- Patrick Kerney left in free agency

    9. Miami Dolphins- QB Brady Quinn- Culpepper's days of numbered

    10. Houston Texans- OT Levi Brown- Schaub to be great needs protection

    11. San Francisco 49ers- DT Alan Branch- Has never been able to fully convert to a 3-4 defense because of lack of a NT

    12. Buffalo Bills- RB Marshawn Lynch- Traded Willis McGahee

    13. St. Louis Rams- ILB Patrick Willis- Move Will Witherspoon to OLB where he is more accustomed. Rams were one of the worst against the run and Willis will really improve that.

    14. Carolina Panthers- S Reggie Nelson- Nelson could be picked a little later, but there is too much of a need, and in this mock Willis is off the draft board.

    15. Pitsburgh Steelers- CB Leon Hall- Would be a good cover 2 corner

    16. Green Bay Packers- WR Ted Ginn Jr.- Its Favres last year, and give him another weapon. And it will help Rodgers later down the line.

    17. Jacksonville Jaguars- DE Adam Carriker- Jags need a good DE opposite Hayward, and can be a pass rushing DT on 3rd down

    18. Cincinnati Bengals- OLB Jon Beason- with pollack unsure health problems, they need to pick him, he is the best OLB

    19. Tennesse Titans- WR Dwayne Bowe- Titans need a physical guy opposite Givens

    20. New York Giants- OLB- Lawerence Timmons- He is better than Poluzney, and more athletic

    21. Denver Broncos- DE Jarvis Moss- Broncos have been trying to fix the pass russ for years

    22. Dallas Cowboys- CB Darell Revis- Aaron Glenn is at the end of his career and Revis is talented

    23. Kansas City Cheifs- WR Robert Meachem- KC wideouts are just horrible. Dante Hall is not a starter, he is a good slot guy. I am amazed by how much offense the cheifs had with such bad WRs.

    24. New England Patriots- S Micheal Griffin- this will solve the safety problems, the only reason why I went with him over Merriweather is that Meriweather isnt a completly a team player.

    25. New York Jets- CB Aaron Ross- Jets need to be better against the pass, this way they can put Justin Miller at the nickel where he is better suited.

    26. Philadephia Eagles- S Brandon Meriweather- Sean Considine is a good special teams but isnt the greatest safety, also draft for Dawkins replacement in 2 years

    27. New Orleans Saints- CB Chris Houston- besides Mckenzie, saints dont have any good corners

    28. New England Patriots- Paul Posluzney- Need ILB depth, and Paul Posluzney is a bill belicheck type guy.

    29. Baltimore Ravens- OL Justin Blalock- they already have two good centers, so Kalil wont be picked, and Ogden might be leaving, so Blalock can play OT or OG.

    30. San Diego Chargers- WR Dwayne Jarrett- With McCardell leaving, and Ginn off the table, Rivers needs weapons, plus Chargers typically go after slow big recievers

    31. Chicago Bears- TE Greg Olsen- Grossman needs another weapon

    32. Indianapolis Colts- DE/OLB Anthony Spencer- Dwight Frenney is going to be impossible to resign next year, so they have to find a replacement. Might be able to play at OLB, but better suited at DE.

I'm intrigued by the Ginn pick but I don't think it will happen. I just don't see Buffalo reaching for Lynch at 12 and I think if he's there for the Pack they'd take him over Ginn.

Is this Brett Favre's last year? I mean I keep hearing it but if Green Bay makes the playoffs which they can in the JV League of the NFC I can easily see him coming back for more. As long as he's playing well he's going to want to come back and play. I wouldn't call it his last year.

I read on ESPN Insider that the Browns are going to take Peterson or Quinn. Maybe Thomas but he seems to be the long shot. They like Johnson but they don't have a need for him. I also read that the ownership is really pushing for Brady Quinn or Jamarcus Russell. Ownership usually wins out. Bud Adams won with the Vince Young over Matt Leinart sweepstakes last year. At the very least it should be an entertaining 15 minutes.

I pray nightly to the football gods that Detrroit or Cleveland take Quinn as I really don't want him in A & O next year.

Mueller said he would take BPA. I personally would love for them to take Okoye just to read the venomous posts at the phins only sight I visit. It seems most don't like AO or think he fits into Capers scheme. I'd love for Mueller to pull a shocker and go w/ Timmons or someone unexpected.

As for the Colts, Cato June signed w/ Tampa and Spencer could be an interesting choice. At the rate they are losing DB's, I bet that is the direction they'll go.

Porky, basically Phil Savage wants Calvin, and browns ownership wants Quinn or peterson, we will see who prevails.

BA, the reason I picked Spencer is because the only corner left in the draft that would fit the Colts is Daymeion Hughes, because he would fit perfectly in the cover 2, but isnt a 1st rounder. McCaluley would be a major bust if he went to the Colts because McCaluley is a pure man corner and like horrible in zone.

I really think Detriot will trade out of their spot because they want Adams, and basically they will trade with anybody in front of the redskins because they would defintly not let Gaines threw.

I understand your rationale, but, think at this point need outweighs logic.

As for Detroit, There is a rumor if they flip w/ Tampa they might recieve Simeon Rice as well

IMO Dwayne Jarrett isn't worth a first round pick now and others like Steve Smith and Sidney Rice are better options.

Larry Fitzgerald ran a 4.63 40 yard dash and a nose for the endzone, and Dwayne Jarrett ran a 4.62. Jarrett is 2 inches taller and scored 7 more TDs in the same amount of years as Fitzgerald. And Fitzgerald did great in the nfl.

Jarrett has 7 more TDs than Rice in the last two years and even though Rice is a little bit faster, Jarrett is more polished coming out of college.

Stats dont tell everything, and while i do believe Jarett is more polished, Rice has more upside.

Where did you get that? There isn't a GM that doesn't like Johnson so I'm sure Millen would consider him.

I read that Savage prefers Peterson and the ownership wants Quinn. As of Friday it appears Savage is leaning toward Peterson and the ownership won't interfere.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Even though he knows the value of taking Columbus native Brady Quinn, Browns owner Randy Lerner won't interfere with GM Phil Savage's thinking process regarding the No. 3 pick, writes John Clayton.

Savage appears to be leaning toward halfback Adrian Peterson over tackle Joe Thomas, but there is still no sense of what would happen if quarterback JaMarcus Russell falls to No. 3. Savage is a big fan of Russell.</div>
