I'm trying to get tickets to one of the shows at the Verizon Center in DC, that's like pulling teeth. They'll probably play next summer at Giants Stadium so I'll probably see him there. His new CD is excellent.

We had to pay a pretty penny for them, but we will be on the floor for what should be a very exciting show.

That should be a good show....I would go if I was in that area. Anyways more about Bruce. He played lots of good oldies like The Promised Land, Badlands, Born To Run, Dancing In The Dark, Lonesome Day, The Rising, and Incident on 57th Street. The whole band sounded great, and as expected, the crowd went nuts for Big Man Clarence. It was a full house at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. I may be going back in March when he makes his way back. All fans of Rock should see one of his concerts......they are so good.

Haha I was playing my Ipod on my Bose dock and I was playing "Thunder Road" and this girl was like, "Can I take your ipod out? I want to listen to real music." LOL.

And speaking of Kanye, I love how everyone hyped up "Graduation" vs."Curtis," but both disappeared from the top as soon as "Magic" came out. It's the album of the fall.

LOL at that girl saying Bruce is not real music. He he has REAL lyrics....just like Outkast (my favorite). Music is going down the tubes, and seeing Bruce live really made me despise the bands that are popular now because of their looks, upbeat tempo, and catchy lyrics (even though they usually have no real meaning).

I haven't seen him live BUT one time he was shopping for CDs at Jacks in Red Bank while I was in there. I was looking at stuff and looked up at the guy next to me and it was him.

Just got back from his Portland concert. Great! I was especially impressed with the band. Several times, they went directly from one song to the next without missing a beat over and over.

Question for the few people here that are old enough to know what I'm talking about. [IMG] His last song of the night was "American Land", I feel like I've heard it before. Was it a copy or copied by another big hit from years ago? Johnny Horton I think?!? Maybe "Sink the Bismarck"? Am I crazy? Okay, I know I'm crazy, but am I at least right about this?

QUOTE

AMERICAN LAND is written by Springsteen, and is inspired inspired by HE LIES IN THE AMERICAN LAND, a poem by Andrew Kovaly, a Slovakian immigrant steelworker, and that Pete Seeger later translated and set to music. The only verse that Springsteen kept from HE LIES IN THE AMERICAN LAND is the first one:
