I'll cut to the chase. Chiefs are open to trade Larry Johnson and aren't ruling out the possibility of drafting a RB in the first round (sound familiar to when Larry was drafted when Holmes was the starter?). The Patriots might also take a RB in the first day also since Maroney has been fighting injuries in his rookie season while splitting carries. Five teams are interested in Bears linebacker, Lance Briggs. They are the Buccaneers, Broncos, Giants, Bills, and Redskins. The Falcons are eyeing Calvin Johnson and might trade up. That's all I have for now but more will soon pop up as draft day gets closer.
larry Johnson is a Pure Stud.. nothing KC will find in the draft nor the compensation would come close to Johnson.. But if they are serious.. i say send Briggs to KC and a pick or 2 and send johnson on over.. I don't have much faith in Benson.. Hopefully i am wrong

However I agree with you, the compensation is going to be out of this world.
Not necessarily, because LJ has the option of completely voiding the last two years of his contract after this season, making him a free agent with KC getting Zilch in return.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Falcons are eyeing Calvin Johnson and might trade up.</div> My mock draft is looking less silly every day! Another rumor mentioned on ESPN, Miami trading up to Washington's #6 if Cleveland passes on Brady Quinn. which also falls in line with my mock
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>Another rumor mentioned on ESPN, Miami trading up to Washington's #6 if Cleveland passes on Brady Quinn. which also falls in line with my mock </div> I've heard that; 1) Miami may take Quinn if he's there @ 9 but won't trade up, 2) Mueller/Cameron have another QB rated higher than Quinn, & 3) may pull a surprise i.e Staley @ 9. I know Mueller likes speed and if memory serves always drafted Defense (DL in particular) when he was w/ the Saints so it would not surprise me to see Timmons taken by the phins. Porter & Taylor aren't getting any younger. It would not bother me to see Okobe go to Miami. Some phins fans think he doesn't fit Capers scheme but he would be BPA if there @ 9. I highly doubt they take Ginn. They have Kelly Camplbell & Az Hakim already on the roster. Further, they could have taken Santonio Holmes who would have been a bit of a reach last year @ 16 & SH had more experience than Ginn as a college WR.

FWIW; If Miami gives up more than 2nd day pick this and a conditional 4th/5th next year they are nuts.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MKIV_Supra)</div><div class='quotemain'>Miami taking Staley at #9? I'm assuming that Levi Brown has been taken already am I correct?</div> Rumor is: Staley is rated higher by Cameron, Mueller, & Houck (OL coach). It ought to an interesting draft for the phins as they are still using the Sa*an's evaluation system. FTR; bA's rule #2 --- NEVER ASSUME
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>I've heard AZ really likes Levi Brown.</div> I'd laugh if the Cards chose Brown over Thomas. I've heard that Brown is projected as a RT not LT. Speaking of Joe Thomas; if I knew that I'd would be spending the next few years in Detroit or Arizona, I'd go fishing on draft day too.
This story claims the Packers have offered their first and fourth round picks for Larry Johnson: http://packers.scout.com/2/638963.html Wow...
damn i sure would like larry johnson in dat bears uniform, lance briggs dont wanna be here so let him go
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (blackadder)</div><div class='quotemain'>bA's rule #2 --- NEVER ASSUME</div> When you do that, it makes an ASS out of U and ME. LOL! Lamest post on this topic.
Lions & Falcons talking trade Chris Chambers was on the trading block earlier in FA and now Marty Booker could be cut or traded
Here's another one. I read somewhere that (former Panthers RB) Tshiminga Biakabatuka who is now a sports reporter in Montral said there may be a trade in the works between the Panthers & phins... it would not necessarily be a sawp of 1st round picks. I would be thrilled if Carolina & Miami were to flip positions. It has been my stance all along that GB, Carolina, & St L were best options should Mueller want to gather more picks. Having Staley or Revis being selcted @ #14 and in A & O next year would be 2 sweet.
Some post draft rumors. LJ may be prepping to holdout training camp if he doesn't get a new deal with the Chiefs. Troy Williamson may be benched or cut (not likely) because of the new players the Vikings have brought over through the draft unless he proves otherwise he can still be the starter. The Dolphins may be waiting for the Chiefs to cut Trent Green since he isn't going to play for them anymore with Huard and Croyle competing for the starting role. Maybe another dilemma like what Steve McNair went through?
On the LJ deal... If I was him I would holdout. They are going to destroy his career by handing him the ball way to many times behind a horrible line, then they are going to set him open in FA waters with all of that wear and tear on him. Hasn't he done enough for that team to deserve an extension...when I get a raise at my job it is based on the work I've done and my future contribution
