<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rashard Lewis shot it like a man who's playing for a max contract, not somebody who just got one.

The fans? They came dressed as monsters. And Dwight Howard? He played like one.

What a scene. What a show.

And what a shame you didn't get to see it.

How's this for sad irony: Millions of people in China could actually sit in front of their televisions and watch the Magic open the NBA season Wednesday night, but shockingly and shamefully most fans in Central Florida could not. That's right, Shanghai got the Magic game, but Sanford didn't.

Bright House is looking pretty dim right about now. FSN Florida should change its name to FSN Most of Florida. And a question for the Orlando Magic: What team signs a TV deal with a television network that isn't carried in its own hometown? Probably the same team that signs a $93-million deal with a player who shows up on crutches.

You can blame this cable calamity on whomever you want, but the fact is this was an absolute embarrassment for the Magic. How can one of the most anticipated nights in recent Magic history be blacked out in Orlando? The Magic unveiled the Dwight Howard-Rashard Lewis era Wednesday night with a resounding, heart-pounding 102-83 thumping of the Milwaukee Bucks, and what do sports fans in Orlando get to watch on local cable:

The Tampa Bay Lightning at the New Jersey Devils.

    Yippee.

"It's unfortunate that we have a lot of fans out there who didn't get to see this," new Magic Coach Stan Van Gundy said.</div></p>
