Nov 1 - Ben Gordon and Luol Deng said they are ready to move on, though both Bulls were disappointed they could not come to terms on a contract extension.

As expected, general manager John Paxson made each player one offer -- five years and about $50 million -- and didn't deviate from it all the way to the deadline Wednesday.

"It was never really a negotiation," Gordon said. "It was kind of like, take it or leave it. I didn't sign it, so I guess it's safe to say I never considered taking it." -- Chicago Sun-Times

[*]Though Deng disputed it, a league source said the Bulls increased their offer to Deng on Wednesday. Deng then admitted it would be hard to put the issue out of his mind at least initially.

"It's definitely in the back of the mind," Deng said. "I wish it had gotten done, the honest truth. I'm a little disappointed it happened. But you have to understand the business part of it. We just didn't come to terms." -- Chicago Tribune

Seriously. Let the NBA offer me 50 million dollars. I bet you I'd take it before I could blink.
