So, Alot of people are impressed with ability to huck the ball 60 yds on one knee... the last person to do this was Kyle Boller need I say more? Last year, I felt Vince Young was either going to a perennial all-star or phenomenal bust. This year its JaMarcus. Comparing the two, VY is a much safer bet to be a superstar. Vince's advantage is that his QB coach is (fellow U of Utah grad) Norm Chow.
I couldn't care less about arm strength. When I look at Russell's stats, what sticks out at me is the remarkable and consistant improvement in his completion percentage and his touchdown to interception ratio. Will this translate to the NFL? Who knows?
When you're talking about a 1st overall QB prospect he better be your franchise QB for the next 5-10 years. In years past Drew Bledsoe, Carson Palmer & Peyton Manning were considered just that. I don't hear that being said of Russell. The QB position is much like pitchers in baseball where the demand is far greater than the supply.

He will now learn the WCO from the Raiders staff and his completion percentage will only get better. (the premise being that the WCO tends do yeild higher completion percentages due to all the extra short passing routes) I don't hear anyone calling out any weaknesses in his game. The guy is a winner, and often brought his team from hehind, in the highly competive SEC. There isn't a throw he cannot make, or a play he cannot comprehend. SEC defenses are among the best competition he could have hoped to face coming out of college. Sheesh, what more do we need to say? He seems to have everything except and Ex-Patriot's coach on his resume.

His 50 yard passes look alot more accurate than Brady Quinn's 10 yard passes. Russell has great comp. %. Jamarcus got better and better year by year. With good coaching he will get better year by year in the NFL. If he reaches his full potential Watch out! PS he was in the wrong offense his entire college career. WCO will suit him very well.
