<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>James Jones was a bad pick in my opinion. I think it's a big reach and I rather of traded the pick for Randy Moss then select a guy who really doesn't seem to have much upside.</div>
Yeah, I agree. When TT got the extra picks, I thought he'd trade one of them to the Raiders for Moss and I was fine with that. Oh, well...

I'm going to reserve my hatred of this draft until the season actually starts. Last year the Packers had five rookies who played 10 games or more (most in the NFL) so Thompson isn't COMPLETELY incompetent...

Let's see how Day 2 goes...

Oh...can I ditch this Bears avatar after tomorrow? I forget what the bet was... [IMG]

I never referred to Jennings as the next Chatman, what i did say was I Thought it was idiotic for TT to cut Chatman with the excuse of "We want bigger receivers" then to draft another guy under 6ft to take his place.

Brandon jackson wont last in this league, he had two major shoulder injuries at a position were he'll be receiving plenty of punishment, he'll be a 3rd down runner at best. Pittman and Lorenzo Booker staring us in the face and we pass on them.

James Jones, is eaxactly like every other Fing receiver on the roster, plus he's an unknown from a smaller school. WHy not use that pick on a veteran with a different skill set like Randy Moss?

Rouse is a similar to Manuel IMO, his coverage ability is extremely lacking, so if he takes the field expect more big plays to his side. Tarnard Jackson was sitting there readily available, much better cover guy, Which is what we need!!!!!!

Well I thought Day 2 went better than Day 1. I like the pick of David Clowney in round 1. I really think he has some potential and his speed is off the charts. That clip they kept showing of him was ridiculously good. Maybe he can hold down the #3 spot until Robinson gets reinstated.

I also like the Mason Crosby pick. He has a strong leg that should work in Lambeau.

I didn't mind the Deshawn Wynn pick. If he can get his act together he could be a nice backup for us at a relatively weak position right now.

We added depth to the offensive line and some special teams guys too.

Overall I think it was an average draft for the Packers. Kind of hard to grade anything right now though.

Iv'e cooled down QUITE a bit from yesterday to realize this draft was better than i made it out to be.

Harrell will be a force if healthy.

Jackson is a very complete back but i worry about his durability.

James Jones, i really don't like this pick at all, they say he's a jump ball specialist, but what can you really expect from a rookie wide out from the middle rounds, there aren't too many Marques Colstons out there!

Aaron Rouse's coverage abillitys scare me but he's a lot faster than Manuel and will be a special teams demon.

Allen babre Will fit in pretty well in the Zone Scheme with his quickness, i didnt think we needed an O-linemen that early on day 2 though.

I love the David Clowny Pick, I had him going to us in one my earlier mocks, will make an impact on special teams and at Wideout hopefully, maybe he becomes our Burner to stretch the field?

Kory Hall should be solid on ST duty and may also be converted to Fullback and compete with miree and possibly Wynn for the starting job.

Desmond Bishop definitely solidifies what Day 2 seemingly was all about, Special Teams.

MAson Crosby- Best Kicker in the draft IMO

DeShawn Wynn was a very suprising but exciting pick, the guy has talent to succeed hopefully he can put it together and get into our rotation! May also see some time at FB.

Clark Harris is a Project at Tight End but has some decent intangibles to make a run for a roster spot.

The Packers also added a Quarterback. Can't remember his name though.

Rookie Mini Camp is this weekend and hopefully NFL Network airs it. I really am looking forward to David Clowney. I think he is the sleeper of the picks we made.

Also to provide more reasoning to the Harrell pick. Corey Williams is going to be a free agent after this season. Contract talks have stalled. Cullen Jenkins has been moved to DE and will start there. So the Packers were doing some thinking ahead and I really like our front 7. It has potential to be pretty darn good if you think about it. SS is the only weak link on this defense in my opinion and I'm high on both Marviel Underwood and Aaron Rouse so maybe one can step it up.

Deshawn Wynn might also play FB for the Packers as well.

With the Bears, Lions, and Vikings taking the offensive approach maybe it's a good thing that the Packers countered it with a Defensive approach. Just a thought.

Okay, I looked it up and he can apply for re-instatement on September 18th. That's right in between weeks 2 and 3 on the schedule.

I'm guessing if he gets re-instated, he'll play in week 3 or 4. That's not too bad...

bears Did both in this draft.. Got us a very good TE..of course we will see how that turns in the pro-level.. got us a DE in the second no clue why. with Anderson, Brown, and oguleye i would think a DE in the 2nd would be a reach.. Got us a RB in wolfe who i understand is alot like warrick dunn got some secondary help and some LB help all in all i am happy with the bears draft.. except the 2nd round but it might turn out

Pro Football Weekly did an overview of all the teams.

Here is what they said about the Packers...

    http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFLDr...aftanalysis.htm
    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Green Bay

DT Justin Harrell?s stock had steadily been climbing in the postseason, but the Packers very likely could have traded down and still landed him ahead of the Chiefs. Second-rounder Brandon Jackson and seventh-rounder DeShawn Wynn both fit their stretch running game. San Jose State WR James Jones was a reach in the third round. Fifth-rounder David Clowney could have a better chance of contributing than Jones. Landing a placekicker as strong-legged as Mason Crosby in the sixth round could turn out to be a steal. The best thing the Packers may have done, as they tend to do every year, was trade down several times and acquire value in the form of more picks. Missouri Southern OT Allen Barbre fits their zone blocking scheme and could be a versatile backup. Overall, considering how many picks they secured, they tended to increase their chances of hitting on at least three starters.

    Grade: Good</div>
It seems like outside of the Wisconsin media most think the Packers draft was average to pretty good. Inside the Wisconsin media they absolutely hate it.
