Hey guys hopefully some of you will remember from justbball. Just browsing around the site I like sportsticker that updates game and boxscore, but one thing I noticed is there are a lot of elements that are geared to faux gambling e.g. weekly Pick Em contests and betting Points and Income that are listed under your profile? chutney and master shake whatsup dudes?

Just wondering where this came from? and whether it is all related to betus.com?

The way I understand it is that the actual pick'em games are for cold hard cash. I don't know much about college football but a few weeks ago I almost won $250! It didn't cost me a thing, so in a way it's a lottery for S2 members who want to use it.

Betting with your points is just for shits and giggles, it's bragging rights and also one of those things that if you're not interested in, you can easily avoid. I wouldn't say the S2 is geared towards anything other than providing a better surfing experience for sports fans. I mean, there's elements for a lot of things; writing (the blogs on this site are amazing), gfx (the work produced here is some of the fastest and best on the net), triva (new questions added that test your knowledge of a variety of sports) so I really think the programers are just trying to think outside the box and really do something unique with this site.

The games & contests were our own inspiration - we'd be doing them with or without BetUS.com. A lot of sports sites have the vBookie hack for vBulletin installed - we just thought our way of doing it was way better [IMG]

Yea, I think its just a convenience for us DB, in that instead of organizing games/competitions on other sites, we can just do them here. Glad you're still posting here, btw. You're the sober yin to my Sam Mitchell-bashing yang. [/Simpsons]
