Nov 2 - Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy, typically coy about revealing his starting lineup, strongly hinted that guard Cuttino Mobley will shift roles this season from a starter to sixth man. Likely to start ahead of Mobley is fourth-year swingman Quinton Ross.

Mobley is expected to come off the bench tonight when the Clippers open the 2007-08 regular season at Staples Center against the Golden State Warriors. It marks the first time since Mobley's second season in the NBA, in 1999-2000 with the Houston Rockets, that he is slated to get most of his minutes as a reserve. -- Orange County Register

I'm guessing they are stressing defense. Good move.

Mobley is a nice player to have come off the bench, especially because we relaly need Ross' defense out there this season. Starting Maggette and Mobely just isnt going to cut it, becuase we would have 0 defense on the floor.
