They flashed an interesting bit of information on ESPN this morning. There's a notion "you can't trade a scorer like Kobe" and then showed the top 5 leading point producers in the current NBA.
The list included:
Allen Iverson --> He's been traded Kobe Bryant Kevin Garnett --> He's been traded Ray Allen --> He's been traded Shaq O'Neal --> He's been traded
The only player on the list who hasn't been traded is Kobe Bryant.

Have you also notice that the teams that traded the leading scorers have become the worst teams in their divisions. Minn., Sea, Phil and LA.

I love how we fans and reporters just want the Lakers to trade Kobe (which I'm all for) but waste the season in order to get a lottery pick. I don't know about you, but I think trade DOES need to be done, but I don't want to waste a season hoping for a lottery pick! We have the pieces to make GREAT trades, we can land JO, Gordon, Marion, AND Noah if we push the right buttons.

Actually, we really don't have much for appealing trade bait. The only good piece we have is Kwame's expiring $9mil contract, that's about it. Odom still has a couple years, Walton and Fish are both on long term deals, as is Radman. The only other people I'd consider trade bait is going to be Bynum and our young PG duo of Critt and Farmar. Even with those though, they're all on rookie deals so they're not going to get us very far in the market.

If the bench guys keep playing like they did tonight their stock around the league will shoot up. Sasha's value has to be at an all time high at this point.
