I do like seeing Vince drive to the basket, so I can't say that it's been two disappointing games. He is attacking instead of settling for jumpers, so say what you want, but that's a good sign.

His first game he had 24 pts, 9 reb, 6 ast, 2 blk, 2 stl that was a great game. And tonight, he was honestly hacked most of the time and bunch of no calls on the refs part.

vince is a stat guy. he could have no impact on the game and walk out with 26-6-5 because of his talent, but there are times when your top offensive player needs to take over or make a big shot. so far we have not seen that from vince in 2 games. game one it was antoine and rj when vince fired up what, 2 airballs int he final minutes? today the 1st half was a game and there were times where i was waiting for vince to come out and just take over but i never happened. from watching the game live at the arena i have to agree that it did look like vince got hacked a few times w/o getting a call, but everything was going bad for us so that just added to it. even then without getting calls as the 60+million dollar man and the #1 primary offensive player you gotta find a way to put points on the board. im not blaming this loss on vince or anything, but he keeps saying oh i wana give back to the nets for keeping me and giving me 2nd life, well do it. if you need to watch film of kobe getting to the rim and making clutch shots then study him or jordan i dont care just get it done. you cant throw yourself into a defender and expect to get a call and that is one thing i think our entire team was doing today, trying to get a call and get to the line instead of trying to make the shot. the best part of today was knowing it was ONLY GAME 2 of the year!!! it means little to nothing if we turn around and beat the sixers tomorrow, but it does hurt bc it was to a division opponent, but if it was to the bucks it would be meaningless if this doesnt turn into a losin streak bc we wont remember it.

as many things that vince does to help us win, he also helps us lose by not being the vince he can be...which we all know about and see ..sadly

I only watched the first half and among many other players, we either got no calls or Raptors got ball every single time our guys went up.

Yes, his 6-21 and 0-6 from three and two really bad shots toward the end of the game really helped put them away. He did play decent enough in OT to get the win however his game was far from impressive.

You can't just look at Carter's stats from Game 1 and say he played a good game. He was terrible offensively. EvenI could score 20 points on 21 shot attemps, and I'm just 100% man. He's supposed to be 50% amazing.

I take Carter's bad games as evidence that the offensive gameplan has changed, and Vince is struggling with the pace.

Carter will get it, and when he does it will be within a framework that benefits everyone. The ability of Carter to let the air out of the team when he goes off has been stablized, but it also causes us to go flat in another way. Carter is still finding an offensive rhythm in this updated movement scheme.

At least he is attacking the rim more. However i think he is trying too hard in getting contact, thus making the layup/shot attempt more difficult than it needs to be. And when he does that and doesnt get the call, it's frustrating as a fan to watch.

Wa-wa-wa-wa-waaaait. You're trying to convince me that Vince is going out of his way, looking for contact? Instead of just trying to throw up a pretty layup that goes in 15% of the time? Are we thinking of the same person here?

Vince has been off, and he'll be fine. He hurt his thumb and it's messed with his shot.

I'm very, very confident that Vince will return to his 05-06 form as long as Kidd and RJ stay healthy. The improving knee of Nenad will only help.

He has been called a little harshly but the lack of impact from Nenad (as yet) and Nachbar cant be helping. Our offence has looked ordinary for the most part and has allowed teams to get good defensive pressure on him as well. Its just the new offensive patterns settling in. In 3 weeks he'll be proclaimed a genius again. If anything this is par for the course for the nets in November...
