btw, did anybody else think that Darrell Armstrong looked really slow out there? I lost track of how many times he was blown by the player he was guarding. Hopefully for you guys, Marcus Williams comes back soon.

Are we talking about defense? Marcus would get blown away with the likes of Cauld and TJ

Williams is not a great defender. I think it is mainly because he isn't that athletic and he makes some bad decisions. I think over time he will be a great player and become smarter.

how is it looking more and more like the raptors are the better team?? it was the first game against eachother this season. after maybe the the first two months of the season and maybe when they've played another time is when you can say the raptors are better or the nets are better. the nets obviously didn't scout the raps properly since they were letting a lot of the bench guys get wide open shots as well as T.J. Ford definately stepped up tonight and looks like he's worked on his shot and that alone makes the raps a lot better since they now really have everyone being capable of hitting from the outside.

How isn't it looking like the Raptors are the better team? When's the last time you checked tonight's score? You need to go check it again. I'm not basing the whole season on one game, I'm just saying, based on what I've seen, the Raptors are much improved, and the Nets aren't. Even you said that the Raptors are improved

Like you said it's ONE game. I don't see how you can make such a declaration from just ONE game. Not 4 or 5 or even 6 games but ONE. Maybe you should see that it's only ONE game. You said you think the raptors are better based on whay you've seen so what did you see? you saw them beat the tar out of the nets in one game and you saw them lose 4 times in the playoffs last year. you've watched this team lose more times to the nets than they have won against them dating from last year. At this point i don't see how the raptors are better, sorry.

Wasn't aware he was that bad. But Armstrong wasn't particularly impressive on the offensive end either. Didn't push the ball quickly enough and turned the ball over too much. I just think the lack of PG depth behind Kidd is a significant weakness, until Williams get back.

haha no problem. Also the Nets fans should see that the Suns are getting killed by the Lakers by the same margin we lost to the Raptors. So unless people are expecting a LA / San Antonio, or a LA / Dallas western conference finals, know that a loss is just a loss.

The way we came out today we would have lost like this to just about anybody and with how Toronto played they would have beaten just anybody they were facing. We just happened to play beyond badly the same night we played the Raps on the top of their game. The Bosh half court shot was their whole night in a nutshell, it was just how it was going to be. I don't think any Raptors fan fans think that's going to happen again next time these two teams play especially wih how Frank and the crew breaks down tape.

Getting excited over a regular season game? haha!

Your the one who got served in the playoffs by the Nets, pretty badly.

It's only funny because Raptors fans continue to talk like they talked before they got kicked out of the playoffs. It was a nice silence of cockiness for a bit but one regular season game = championship.

    Canada > United States

    Nets > Raptors

I'm not quite sure how Master Shake's teasing hit so many nerves. There was a little bit of an overreaction in here, which is kind of ironic considering the nature of the opening post.

Oh, it's funny, cause last I checked, Toronto is at the top when it comes to attendance. Where are the Nets? Oh, that's right, I'm pretty sure you guys are moving to Brooklyn soon.

Not sure why this has become a Canada, USA thing. Any Net fan who brings up this argument is off-topic and is commiting a petty argumentative fallacy. Plus lets not forget that there are Nets fans on this board who are from canada.

Ok, let me break it down for you. Canada, is a country with a team called the Raptors. And man, you are so immature, I dont even want to argue with you.[/QUOTE]

Master Shake, Props for coming up with Leo Rautins. Soo good at Syracuse, if injuries never happened, he'd probably had been the best Canadian basketball player ever.

His son ain't too bad, either.

I find it funny to see Nets fans dissing Canada when one of our very own, Magloire, is a Canadian. This thread is comical.

Gotta love the Nets-Raptors rivalry goin on here. Just try to keep it basketball, guys, it's better that way!
