I agree w/ ya that Stallworth is the least of all those evils. I think highly of those in charge In Foxborough (my Dwo membership is in jeopardy), but, will be interesting to see what happens. Personally, I prefered the Pats when they were TE heavy in scheme and personnel. When it comes to Moss, Merriweather, & K Washington; does a Leopard ever truly change its spots?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>Matt Hasselbeck (a sixth round pick) has some interesting thoughts on the combine and its effect on where you're drafted: http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=600519 He was drafted the same year as Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf. Leaf totally tanked, and yet a sixth round pick has been to two Pro Bowls and a Superbowl at this point. Seriously...some really good observations in there.</div> That is true. I've heard that going from college to the NFL is like going from high school to college but a little harder. That said, I am eager to watch Russell with the Raiders and see how he does since he will be thrown out there right away and everything will be on his shoulders.
Its hard to stomach it when someone you hate finds success. I know that from personal experience. Some guy I used to get in fights with at school won $150,000 playing the lottery and he brags about it to me every time I run into him. I wonder if he would like to fight again? I hope Moss and crew can be mature and play football to help the team win instead of having a "me first" attitude but the leopard example is a good one. As far as giving respect when I don't want to, I hate giving the Colts props but they beat my Pats and they were the better team that time and twice before that. As much as I hate to admit it, they are a great football team. They have finally shown that they can win without relying on Manning and by playing as a team. That defense was horrible toward the end of the season but they somehow stepped it up to where they looked like the Ravens in the playoffs. Another thing people fail to realize is the importance of good coaching. IIRC, the Pats are 0-6 against the Colts and the Broncos since Weis and Crennel left. Yet people are saying that the Chargers will be awesome and unbeatable again this year even though they lost their HC, OC, DC, and two others, replacing the HC with Norv Turner. I wouldn't be surprised if the Chargers went 8-8 or worse because of all those coaching losses.
