Re: NBA: CHICAGO (0-2) at MILWAUKEE (0-2)

Surprising. I caught most of the first half and this didn't look anything like the Chicago team that impressed me so much last season. Too many players in foul trouble, players jacking up shots, and they let the Bucks match them when it came to the transition game.

Rookie Yi Jianlian scored 16 points and grabbed eight reboundsfor Milwaukee, which hadn't started a season with three straightlosses since dropping a franchise record five in a row in1976-77.

Milwaukee, which was celebrating the 40th anniversary of itsexistence here, helped Chicago to a surprising third loss in arow to start the campaign.

Considered a favorite to win the Eastern Conference, the Bullshas failed to pick up a win with rumors of trading for LosAngeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant looming over the franchise.

Redd, who connected on 8-of-24 shots from the floor, averaged38.0 points in four contests against Chicago last season.Included in those games was a 52-point effort - lifting theBucks, who had lost all four of those matchups with the Bulls in2006-07.

Re: NBA: CHICAGO (0-2) at MILWAUKEE (0-2)

We need to get some serious help for Gordon. Him, Smith, Tyrus, and Noc are the only ones who seem to be trying, and playing decent...to good.

Kirk Hinrich is playing like an idiot. Luol Deng is having a year long sulk party it seems. He turned emo. He's probably going to regret turning down that contract, since it seems he didn't work too hard on his game in the offseason.

Ben Wallace is done. He doesn't even jump for rebounds anymore. We need to euthanize him.

I'd be trying to reopen up those Gasol talks. Maybe try to swing a Hinrich/Deng for Gasol/Navarro type of deal (since Navarro is likely to go in a trade with Gasol). We need another scorer to take some pressure off Gordon, since the other teams are able to just triple and quadruple team him without feeling any damage. )

This teams been disappointing for the most part outside of Gordon, Tyrus, and Smith.

Overall......horrible played game for the most part by BOTH teams. 1st half (more so second quarter) was one of the ugliest things I have seen in basketball in some time. However, it is nice to get a win.

    1-2......Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.

Milwaukee, which was celebrating the 40th anniversary of itsexistence here, helped Chicago to a surprising third loss in arow to start the campaign.

"I'm not surprised we started the season 0-3," said Bulls centerBen Wallace, who collected five points and two rebounds. "Wehad opportunities to win all three games but just didn't takeadvantage of them."

Considered a favorite to win the Eastern Conference, the Bullshave failed to pick up a win with rumors of trading for LosAngeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant looming over the franchise.

"We have a propensity to stumble around in some games andturnovers have been happening all the time in these threegames," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "There has to be a timewhere you bring it as a professional every night."

Redd, who connected on 8-of-24 shots from the floor, averaged38.0 points in four contests against Chicago last season.Included in those games was a 52-point effort - lifting theBucks, who had lost all four of those matchups with the Bulls in2006-07.

"Tonight was a grind," Redd said. "The Bulls are a terrificdefensive team, but we did a great job of battling and lockeddown when we had to."

However, it was a different story for Milwaukee on Saturday.

Redd, who scored 12 points in the third quarter, started a 19-6run with a jumper at the 9:55 mark. The burst was capped by adunk by Yi with 1:32 left, giving the Bucks a 51-43 advantage.

"(Yi) is full of energy, like a young colt running around outthere," Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "He hit some bigshots for us, certainly big for his confidence and good for ourteam."

Yi scored eight points in the period.

After Andres Nocioni hit a jumper with two minutes left to cutthe Bulls' deficit to 75-70, Charlie Bell made one of two fromthe free-throw line with 11 seconds left to give the Bucks asix-point advantage.

"You could see, when somebody got beat, the other guys picked itup," Bell said. "There was no way we wanted to lose thisgame."

After a basket by Luol Deng, who battled foul trouble throughoutthe night, cut Chicago's deficit to four with nine secondsleft, Redd drilled two fouls shots with two ticks on the clockto provide the final margin.

"It's very frustrating, I tried to come out aggressive tonightand got into early foul trouble," said Deng, who scored justeight points. "The last two games I've really struggled with myshot."

Ben Gordon scored 16 points and reserve Joe Smith added 14 and10 boards for Chicago, which is winless in three games.
