I had to do a double take this morning when I saw the leading scorers in the league.

    #1 Kobe Bryant - 45.0 PPG
    #2 Tracy McGrady - 38.5 PPG
    #3 Tayshaun Prince - 34.0 PPG

He's more than made up for Rip Hamilton's absence in the lineup. I didn't know Prince had this type of scoring ability. He was lucky to get 20PPG in prior seasons.

Do you guys think Tayshaun can lead the team this year or will he go back to his usual self when Rip returns?

He has been very good for the Pistons. But I can't see him carrying this the whole season.

He's not going to be a Top 3 scorer very long, but I highly doubt he will just disappear. He can score in a variety of ways and with him running the point when Billups goes to the bench he will have even more opportunities.

Is he a good player? Yes, but it seems that he is just content with being the fifth guy on the floor. With players like Sheed, Rip, and Smooth thats his role. I just wish he would be alittle more "Selfish" and to take alot more of "his" shots.

He'll drop back down to 14ppg average. Detroit is too stacked with offensive weapons to allow just one player other than Rip and Chauncey to average over 20ppg. If one player has a bad night, someone picks up the slack. That's how it usually is with the Piston's offense. I'm not knocking the possibility of Tayshaun's offensive numbers increasing, but don't look for him to average more points than Rip when he returns to the lineup.
