The last 3 games RJ has been the most consisten offensive player on the court.

This is the player Nets fans were talking about when he is healthy. The guy that can halde the ball, shoot it long and take it to the rim. Now if he just had some help.

He's been fantastic out there so far this season. I kind of forgot about how good he was when he is healthy.

We're pretty blessed to have him on our team healthy. Especially since our big three's identity so far is not one where all three players are playing great. Rather, 1 or 2 carries the team and we're lucky to have different people to step up individually.

imagine if RJ had vince's god given gifts!!!! you'd figure kidd and rj would rub off on a vince a bit over the last few years. i love RJ for so many reasons and when he is healthy how could you not love him even more. i hope he does stay with the nets his entire career like he wants too and if someone is moved it is not RJ. he is mr.net right now and maybe this will be the year coaches give RJ some love and send him to the ASG

This was my 1st look at the team this season. It's amazing actually. His shoot improved dramatically starting a coupla yrs back. What really wow-ed me tonight was his (as you say) handling of the ball. And perfect foul-shooting!

I agree, reading some of RJ's recent quotes about him wanting to be a Net for life and how much he loves it...it really made me feel good as a fan. Not to sound corny or anything.

    RJ can't carry the offense.

I dont have anything fancy like stats to back that up, but for 82 games you better hope that Carter/Kidd/someone else shows up to help RJ

I am happy that we don't trade him for JO. Because JO is not playing well now. I don't eventrade RJstraight up for JO now,

not to mention we include Marcus and Krstic.

I like RJ more than VC right now.

Heh. If RJ keeps averaging 26, 6, and 3 he'll definitely be at the All-Star game. [IMG] It's just 3 games though.

VC isa better shooter than RJ. RJ is just more efficient, and that's what counts. VC can score 25 points on 18 shot attempts, RJ can score 18 on 9. That's why, until VC finally decides to take higher percentage shots, RJ should be the main focus of our offense, or at least as much of a part of it as Vince.

i dont know how anyone can like vince over rj right now. now if your a vince fan then your always going to like vince over anybody, but rj is doing everything he can to help get us a win and plays hard the entire time he is in on the offensive and defensive end.

im glad we didnt get JO either, but if it was for vince i wouldnt mind because i think RJ is the perfect wingman with a big because he can hit the outside shot and loves to drive and get to the line. i was never in favor of rj/marcus/jo especially to a team in the east where those 3 will haunt us for a while.

^ Then he has to show about this thing in this season.

He can play defense, run the break, shoot the ball, pass the ball, rebound, is atheletic.

That's exactly what I mean. RJ is a good shooter (let's not get too ahead of ourselves, he isn't more than "good"). VC is a great shooter. RJ is more consistent, efficient and reliable. Which is why he has been more important to our offense so far and why he should have a bigger role in it in the future.

I don't think that's corny at all. Look, I've been watching the revolving door of the Nets for the last 40 years. No sense of continuity.

The way I look at it pretty much as a fan is this: I want the team to start with players I can root for and see how far they can go. Sure, sure...winning it all would be nice and a blockbuster-trade-you-can't refuse is always welcome. But the way I see it, I'd like to improve on what we've got 1st. Otherwise why not just pretend "New Jersey Nets" is really spelled "San Antonio Spurs" and its just a longer drive off of Route 17 to see their home games?

RJ can carry the offense. Take a look at the games we've won this season. Without RJ stepping up we get blown out by Chicago, too.
