RJ can carry the offense. Take a look at the games we've won this season. Without RJ stepping up we get blown out by Chicago, too.

Im talkin' bout for 82 games NOT 3

Obviously, RJ isn't Kobe Bryant. He can't decide to score 50 on any given night and do it. He doesn't have that type of mentality and he isn't the type of player who takes a ton of shots. I don't think GMJ meant that RJ should carry the offense, on his back, alone for the whole season. Just that he should be the main focus of the offense right now, since he has proven over the last three games that he's talented enough to fill that role.

I still dont think RJ can carry a offense, hes played great in 3 games, but im not going 2 give him the ball wtih 20 seconds left in the game, Vince is still better in my eyes but Rj has really steped his game up.

Probably. But do you really want to trade VC right now, especially to a team in the East? Look at what happened when the Raptors traded him to the Nets. He started dominating. Plus, I don't think

    a) O'Neal is worth VC+filler+1st round pick anyway.

[IMG] We should give up on VC already.

    c) Thorn would admit to failure and trade VC after the gigantic contract extension he gave him in the summer.

If you want him to keep up his level of play then you're just as appreciative as everyone else is. So you're calling yourself a "dickrida" too

I love RJ. His defense and ebounding has been crucial and he's nailing down FTs. I'm amazed at how unbeleivable he is playing.

He is most efficient in the princeton/fast pace offense.

But he cant carry an offense, or at least cannot be looked upon as a go to scorer like the premier scorers in the league(Pierce, Wade, AI, Bryant, LBJ, Melo, Carter, etc)

VC isa better shooter than RJ. RJ is just more efficient, and that's what counts. VC can score 25 points on 18 shot attempts, RJ can score 18 on 9. That's why, until VC finally decides to take higher percentage shots, RJ should be the main focus of our offense, or at least as much of a part of it as Vince.

RJ has improved his shots very well... he is quite a consistent shooter.

That's exactly what I mean. RJ is a good shooter (let's not get too ahead of ourselves, he isn't more than "good"). VC is a great shooter. RJ is more consistent, efficient and reliable. Which is why he has been more important to our offense so far and why he should have a bigger role in it in the future.

vince is not a great shooter. when i think of great shooter i think of Redd and Ray Allen. vince is a volume shooter. i could agree that vince is a great volume shooter. we all know vince is extremely important to this offense/team/franchise, but right now RJ is the far superior all around player right now. what vince has that RJ may never have is a reputation of being a scorer. vince could have a horrible game, but he can draw a double team when he is on the block that gets someone an open shot, so vince's reputation of being a scorer is good for this team as we saw at times today vince was the primary assist or secondary assist because of the double team he created outta the post. as long as vince is on the floor the offense will run through vince, but right now it should be run through kidd and rj until vince wakes up from vacation.

if this is the vince we have this year then we are not making the playoffs and we will not have the big 3 next year. maybe we will have a new big3, but somebody will be on the way out. so vince can make or break this team this year and for the future years, that is how important he is to this team/franchise. he has a lot of pressure to step it up.

agree, RJ is a sidekick in the league. that is no disrespect to RJ at all, but he just lacks some talent to be THE number one guy, but that doesnt stop him from trying to do everything he can to win a game and that is why RJ gets so much love. i think RJ is the perfect wing player to play with a big like duncan,kg,shaq. im not saying to get those guys because we obviously cant so he wont play with them but i think RJ is the best tag team partner you can have. RJ thrives in this system and it is made for him rather than vince. when a system is filled with system players then you get players to play at their max like the suns have. those guys are perfect for the system they run and that system makes them look better than what they are.

now if you just have RJ on the floor as the primary scoring option, like a few years ago due to kmart being traded and kidd injured, then you have teams focusing all their attention to him and that makes it harder on him where guys like kobe, wade, lebron can still excel with all eyes on them, vince can too at times. but NOW i think with vince still being a threat to the D we should let RJ take the lead until vince gets his motors going and i think RJ can continue to carry us, along with kidd, for a while. RJ is not a great 1v1 guy but once we get movement he can recieve the ball and go at the D and hes shown how successful he is doing that for us.

They tryna boost RJ trade values, cuz he's havin' many touches than Vince.Dont get me wrong,he's a gifted playa.

Carter's been struggling, and that's why Jefferson has been getting more touches. In these last three games he has played like a superstar, we'll see if he can keep it going for all 82.

RJ makes A.I look overrated. there's no reason he can't be a primary scorer.
