Hopefully the title says all. On Packers.com theres an article about him saying he will be the TE we all loved to watch play at his best. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Bubba Franks will be the first to admit he didn't perform at his usual level in 2006. But the eighth-year veteran will be the last to say that he's on the downside of his career. In visiting with reporters during minicamp this weekend, Franks said he's "on a mission" to be the tight end Packers fans enjoyed watching his first six years in the NFL. The former first-round draft pick didn't make any bold predictions, but that's not Franks' style. A straightforward, no-nonsense guy, he simply stated that he's putting last year behind him and doing nothing but looking forward.</div> <span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>http://www.packers.com/news/stories/2007/05/19/1/</span>
I hope he can, I'd love for him to become the Redzone target he was from 02-04. He was Favre's go to guy there. Hopefully this was just a minor setback, and he comes on strong and puts up some TDs for us.
He needs to get his confidence back. I read in the paper that Franks has been working with the 2nd team during mini camp and Donald Lee has actually been working with the 1st team.
they have been alternating is what iv'e read, I guess lee got most of the snaps day one, but franks got the majority the next day.
Franks gets a bad rap, not only because he had a bad year, but because the offensive play calling over the past two years has involved him blocking more and more. He had less opportunities to shine last year and he dropped the ball (literally) on the chances he did get. I think he can still bounce back... But it's going to have to be partially him and partially the play calling.
