Morency at RB doesn't get better then that.. One reciver in driver and no clear #2 option.. thats baller.. An over the hill TE in franks.. an unproven Oline that couldn't protect my water cup.. Yea GB is going to be awsome.. Hope the GB Defense is very very good..</div> Greg Jennings is going to be a viable #2. He was last year until he got hurt and played with a bum ankle the rest of the way. That offensive line who couldn't protect a water cup only gave up 21 sacks which is not amazing but it's also not that bad either for two rookie guards and a new coaching staff. http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/NFL/QB...13&start_row=51 That's the list of Quarterbacks whom got sacked more than Favre. It's actually pretty high number. They also blocked for three different running backs that ran for 100 yards. Running back is such a dependant position that unless it's a special player it shouldn't really matter who is back there as long as the offensive line clicks. Ahman Green was not a special player any longer. Brandon Jackson fits this scheme perfectly so he has a chance to be pretty decent although I?m not expecting 1500 yard back. More like numbers that Green put up last year. Still RB is certainly a concern as is definitely TE. I don't know why you have to sign free agents to win in this league. Indianapolis started one free agent on their Super Bowl team and won it all. The rest were all draft picks. The Packers are following that format. This team started a lot of young players last year and managed to go 8-8. It's certainly possible that the players regress but its' more likely that they are going to get better. They had nearly 100% participation in the off season program this year. All the young guys were there. Some of the vets were not but the younger guys are striving to get better which shows this team has promise. Now they are not going to win more games than the Bears. Unless Chicago suffers major injuries they are winning the division but the Packers like they did last year should be able to contend for a wild card and possibly get it. You don't need big playmakers to make the playoffs. The Chicago Bears are the prime example. The Packers defense looks very promising this year as it did well last year.
I doubt Detroit takes Long.... Unless George Foster completely flops this year... For some reason they like Backus... On top of everything else we had an offensive windfall this year... We added Bell, Foster, Duckett, Mulitalo, Calvin Johnson, Shaun MacDonald and Drew Stanton... The offense should be very good this year... Meanwhile, we made a lateral move at DE with losing Hall and adding White and then got rid of Dre Bly and added Travis Fisher (Which I think is actually an upgrade in this defense believe it or not)... I have to believe that next year will be a defensive heavy draft and FA period for us... Barring any surprising good play from players Detroit's needs should be, in order : DE, MLB, CB and S... n order... I like Kenny Phillips, Derrick Harvey (not even on list... If he has another double digit sack year he'll go top 10), James Laurinaitis, Lawrence Jackson and Antoine Cason (Depending on if we pick up Paul Oliver in the Supplemental Draft... Which I am praying for...)
