Hey, give the Colts credit, they actually made a game of it. Sure, it took a lot of help from the zebras for them to keep it close, but they managed it.

Pats fans really take the cake. The Colts gave the Patriots a heck of a game. Period. I don't see how any knowledgeable football fan can say that their team is unstoppable when they escaped with a four point win after having been down 10 points in the 4th. Today's game will be a nice addition to Tom Brady's Hall of Fame resume, but this game did prove that someone can play on their level and challenge them. The Patriots won this game. There's no disputing that, but, if you were to ask Tom Brady, I'm sure that facing the possibility of facing the Colts in the playoffs, concerns him no matter where the game is played.

I think Indy set the tone with their defense from the first play of the first Patriots drive. New England was playing scared until the scoreboard forced them to play their own game. The play calling from Josh McDaniels was pretty horrible for the first 3 quarters and Brady and the NE offense didn't reallyget to play their style until the 4th quarter. The refs also didn't make it easy on them either, as I thought there were a few key bad calls/missed calls that seemed to favor the Colts more often than not.

Huge win for the Pats, though, as they pretty much locked up home field advantage because they'll have to lose 2 games in order for Indy to pass them.

How much money? I would say that Brady, Moss and Welker are no brainers. Samuel and Vrabel probably deserve a vote as well. I haven't really tried to lay out who I am going to vote for yet.

How interestingthatmy 2 centsonthe game gets no play. Pats fans, however, chose to continue to focus on the alleged haterizing.

For the most part, I don't think the Pats were scared so much as not focused until sometime in the 3rd Qtr. Like I said previously, the Colts were too non-chalant IMO.

The only thing that bugged me (other than CBS cutting away from Denver geting worked) was the praise of Seau when he's done jack squat since leaving San Diego.

For the record, I am voting for Vrabel to be in the Pro Bowl....as a TE. Better him than the overhyped T Gonzalez & Gates.

The different offensive lines played a big part in the result, IMO. When it came down to the fourth quarter, Brady got incredible protection and had all day to wait for Moss/Stallworth to get open downfield. The Colts' pass rush had been impressive upto that point, but they were completely shut out when it counted.

Manning on the other hand was rushed on the final few drives and it always seemed like there was a player creeping up on him from the blind side. He had very little time to throw, although he did a good job of maneuvering in the pocket. And, on top of that, his O-line committed some untimely penalties that killed a couple of their drives.

Impressive win by the Patriots, though. I didn't want them to win, but they certainly deserved it today. And I'm glad it was a tough, hard-fought game instead of a shootout.

Really? Only a Patriots fan could complain? Well, let's see, shall we? Phantom interference calls on opposing DBs. Check. Phantom interference calls on opposing WRs. Check. Phantom 1st downs after Addai got stopped two yards short of the mark (directly preceding the Colts first TD). Check. No Colts DB or LB whistled for pass interference despite multiple early tackles. Check. Oh, wait, I'm sorry. They did throw that one flag, very late, after a complete pass (when it had no effect whatsoever). Just another Colts game (ask the Steelers, they'll tell you).

There were four absolutely horrendous calls in this game, three which led to Colts scores (though you could argue about the Addai one, but the fact is that the phantom first down changed the ensuing play.), all went in the Colts' favour. Yes, the Colts got a lot of help from the zebras. But that's been the story of the last two and a half years. Oh, and as it turns out, the Colts cheat when they're at home by blasting phony crowd noise into the Hayseed Dome. (Something that other teams have complained about.)

    1. I have said in seasons prior that dominate teams don't let zebras decide the outcome of games. You are saying that the only reason that the Colts were in the game was because of the zebras. I say, if the Patriots are so awesome, a couple of bad calls wouldn't have mattered. It's not like the Patriots haven't gotten their fair share of calls in big games. The tuck rule is the first thing that jumps to mind. Crying about bad calls just makes Patriot fans sound like Seahawks fans after Super Bowl XL.

    2. If the Colts are pumping in crowd noise, then someone should report them and the NFL should investigate. I saw two Colts games in the mid-90s and I never heard anything fake. Granted that was 10 years ago and I was up in the stands, regardless, I'm not going to take the word of some amatuer rumor sheet regarding the subject. I want to hear that from a legit source.

What I know is that I saw a very good Colts team give the Patriots one heck of a battle yesterday. I saw the Colts keep an supposedly unstoppable Patriots offense down to reasonable numbers. Hats off to Brady for yet another impressive comeback. What makes the comeback particularly impressive is that it came against the defending and then-undefeated World Champs on their home field. I'm just sick of the double standard. Pats fans accuse the DWO of never giving the Patriots any credit, while the Patriots fans don't give anyone in the entire NFL any respect. If someone does give the Patriots a good game, here come the excuses. Just admit it. Patriot fans were just looking for excuses the entire game because there was no way that the Colts would have been given any credit for anything even if they had won. I'm sure that, if someone does sneak up and hand the Patriots a loss, there will be a ton of excuses as to why they won.

ThePatriotsdidn't.Incaseyoumissedit, theywon, in spite of the fact that the zebras spotted the Colts 13 points, killed New England drive (with the non-interference call on the linebacker that Kevin Faulk seemed to be wearing instead of his jersey), and killed another drive. All the referees were ultimately able to do was hold the margin of victory down. The Colts should be worried, with four to five absolutely game changing calls running in their favour, playing at home, they still couldn't beat New England. If I'm the Colts, I'm thinking "How the fuck are we gonna keep up with these guys on the road if the calls even out?"

Also, Seattle lost the Superbowl, this is more akin to the Steelers complaints after they beat the Colts on their way to the Superbowl. The Steelers WRs and DBs drew interference calls galore, while the Colts DBs, who pretty much commit either interference or illegal downfield contact on every single play, didn't get whistled once. As noted, even national reporters are telling you you're full of shit here. It's not just New England games where this happens. The Colts have been getting this sort of help in every game for the last two and a half years. Did Polian get promoted to head of the competition committee or something?

True, it was in the 4th quarter when you could hear it the best. The commentators were talking while the crowd noise was stopping at times. haha

As for the alleged pumped in crowd noise, Its not like the Colts were the 1st team this season to do something shady. Funny thing perception. It could just be it was so quiet when Peyton & co were on the field that the noise at other times was amplified.

I will reiterate that they were some lousy calls going both ways IMO that should not have been made. Just because the Pats had to work for the win & not blow someone out, they got screwed more which "gave" the Colts 13 pts? Again, funny thing perception.

Lets lay off BF1. He makes his posts, he sticks by them and he is willing to put up with a lot immature garabage in response to his posts.

Actually, the people so quick to cut the Colts some slack now were referring to another team as the "most evil in NFL history" just a few weeks ago. Funny how time alters thse perceptions, eh? Some of us just shrugged at the event and noted that cheating is universal. And lo and behold, we was [sic] right. The funniest part of this is the fact that thethistimeit's unctious Dungy and Polian getting caught with their trousers around their ankles. There were no game changing bullshit calls against the Colts. Nuns [sic]. This isn't unique to their games against New England, either. As I've stated previously, teams have been complaining about this for two and a half years now.
