<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"The union has complained about the high level of intensity, player aggressiveness and fast pace of our practices and, as a result, has taken away the final week of our offseason program," said Kiffin, the NFL's youngest and least experienced head coach.</div> It must have come from someone that doesn't expect to get a roster spot. Randy is gone. Who else could have told the union about this? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>USC coach Pete Carroll told Times columnist Cam Inman last week that the Raiders practice he watched nine days ago stood out. "The energy at practice is different from most NFL teams," said Carroll, who coached in the NFL for 16 years and had Kiffin as an assistant coach before Kiffin was hired by the Raiders in January. "It separates them already. Turn on the NFL Network and see the (offseason workouts) from around the country."</div> After Art Shell's program, or lack thereof, I can only be happy that they are working this hard now. I find it really strange that players are complaining about practice. Are they not getting enough fluids? Not enough breathers between plays? Too aggressive? These kinds of people tend to make themselves obvious as time moves on, and should not be on the team come September. I still can't believe someone had the nerve to take this to the union...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Send Em Back Al)</div><div class='quotemain'>On the Mike Williams thing, I understood Kiffin to say that he had blown his chances with the Lions and was here for an attempt at a fresh start... the timing of the hammy injury was unfortunate in relation to the statement, but just a coincidence. Williams and Kiffen were together at USC, so Kiffen knows what he is and isn't going to be able to expect out of him... a not so fast but big and strong receiver. If he can get his ass into shape, something that he really never did in Detroit, he may find himself with a spot on the roster. Personally, I'm on the fence with Williams until he shows me something.</div> It must have been the consistantly-out-of-shape Williams that blew the whistle on Kiffin. Had to be.
Doesn't surprise me any... He was in Detroit last year when a grievence was filed and we lost 2 OTA's... I'm glad we got rid of him...
<font face="impact, chicago" size="3">It's about time somebody made these guys work. I wont speculate on who's "crying" about it but these people/person will either find their way back to being a Raider or find their way out. I don't think Kiffin is going to tolerate that stuff like Shell did.</font></p> <font face="Impact" size="3">Raiders are done with quitters (Moss)</font></p>
