WWE House Show San Bernardino Coussoulis Arena, Nov. 4, 2007 By Dan Alegria Just got back from the WWE house show in San Bernardino before a near sold out crowd of at least 4,000. Show started off with a 10 bell salute in memory of the Fabulous Moolah and the National Anthem. Carlito's music hits, but it turns out someone must have pushed the wrong button since it wasn't his time yet. Good thing this is only a house show. William Regal comes out and says that as general manager he wanted to give a local guy a shot at earning a spot. The new guy is Atlas Dabone and I can see why they played Carlito's music to begin the show, since they have the same hairstyle. Good match, with lots of mat wrestling and Regal scoring the pinfall. Dabone seemed to have a unique style while also working well on the mat with Regal. Next, Hardcore Holly defeated Carlito with an Alabama Slam, which Carlito did a good job of selling after the match was over by looking dazed and not sure where he was going. Vladimir Koslov defeated Brian Kendrick. Koslov looked very dominant, but he was in there with a 160 pound opponent who throws himself all over the ring, not sure many other workers will do the same. In a tag team triple threat match for the WWE tag titles, Cade and Murdoch retained the belts against Haas and Benjamin and the team of Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Super Crazy. Not a bad match, at least when Shelton Benjamin was in. Duggan just looks way too old to be in the ring. Match ended with Benjamin hitting a superplex off the top ropes on Super Crazy and then Murdoch making the pin. Cody Rhodes defeated Ken Kennedy via pinfall (no that's not a typo). After intermission, Maria came out to throw t-shirts out to the fans. Once she was down to the last one, Santino came out and asked for the last shirt. Turned out to be a Stone Cold shirt, and Santino continued to rundown Stone Cold and said that Austin would not be in Los Angeles on Monday. Beth Phoenix retained the Women's title by beating Mickie James via powerbomb. In a champion vs. champion match, Randy Orton defeated Jeff Hardy and retained the WWE Championship. Very good match and a very good exchange at the end with both trying to do their respective finishers until Orton was able to finish Hardy. Again, a very good match and I hope that this is a sign of things to come and that we might be able to see these two in a PPV main event soon. Finally Triple H defeated Umaga in a no DQ match. Very good brawling between the two, even going into the aisle and Umaga throwing Hunter into the guard rail which collapsed on impact. Finish saw Umaga putting the steel steps into one corner and then placing Triple H in front of them, but Hunter was able to move out of the way before Umaga hit the steps, recovered and hit the pedigree. After the match, Hunter brought in some guy from the crowd named Smudge who is from or is featured on a British TV show which was being filmed at the arena. The two of them did the DX catchphrases and then left the ring. Overall a good show, albeit a tad short. It just seemed really evident tonight that the roster is really thin right now and the Raw brand could really use a guy like Chris Jericho to turn things around a bit. By the way, the WWE announced that the Raw brand will be returning to Southern California with a Feb. 16 date at Staples Center in Los Angeles and a Monday Night Raw taping Feb. 18 at Honda Center in Anaheim. Biggest pops 1. Triple H 2. Jeff Hardy 3. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (sad isn't it) Biggest heat 1. Randy Orton 2. Ken Kennedy 3. Tie between William Regal and Santino</p> credit to wrestlingobserver.com</p>
