QUOTE

John Hollinger takes a look at the Nets’ 37-point loss at the IZOD Center last week and sees a harbinger of doom for the Nets. He compares the Raptors’ blowout of the Netsto last season’s Bulls’ opening night blowout of the Heat. Nothing good can happen now, he vows. His analysis does find one team that was able to recover from such a horror: the 2002-03 Netswho lost to the Kings by 36, then went to the NBA Finals.

Early Blowout Loss A Dark Omen for the Nets

Anyone surprised that Hollinger finds something wrong with Nets?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? ... Bueller? ... Bueller?

Hmm...interesting that there is no mention of RJ's 26 pts on 51% shooting (compared to Kobe's 48% and LeBron's 40%)
People (I guess including Hollinger) also forget that RJ was averaging around 26 before Vince Carter even came to NJ AND while Kidd was still recovering from surgery. RJ's only help at that point was Buford, Best, and starting power forward Brian Scalabrine...

Yea, the dude is just pumping up his predictions. Every chance he gets he will just keep dumping on the Nets. I wish someone would give this shit to Kidd.

He's a NETS HATER,i dont give a flyin' fvck bout him.Last year @ da playoffs he was mad salty, cuz he picked the raps over the NETS.They GOT SERVED.

Hollinger is a harbinger of doom for the Nets. He's a smart man, but unless he's privy to the powersthat determine the NBA season, he may not know what he is talking about. Still, he predicted the Nets .500 season last year, didn't he?

Am I right on that?
Well, not he's averaging under 2. And that's something i love to see, just as much as the 20+ points. Great to see this offense is working out for RJ.

You can't be surprised by this. Hollinger is always looking to make the Nets seem like a piece of trash. He never has anything good to say, it's always hate. That annoys the crap out of me.

You know, it might be just me, but I never hear him attacking the Knicks, even when they screw up a whole season.

It took me all of 30 seconds of research to find that Houston beat Dallas 107-76 in their second game of the 2006-2007 season. They went on to win 67 games that year

It was a bad loss, but this obviously is ridiculous. Hollinger is a notorious idiot and I wouldn't take anything he says seriously whatsoever. I'm no Nets fan, but New Jersey is clearly one of the better teams in the East when healthy.
