QUOTE

The first power rankings of the new season put the Nets right smack in the middle of the pack, #18 in Marc Stein’s ESPN rankings, #16 in John Schuhmann’s NBA.com rankings. Both compliment the Nets’ two wins, but take notice of the 37-point blowout by the Raptors. “It ain’t so easy to be philosophical about a 37-point home loss so early,” writes Stein. Adds Schuhmann: “That’s inconsistency. And that’s exactly how the Nets played last year.”

Wow...Schub was nice to us. He actually put us ahead of the Magic. Around there seems right, tho.

Not sure what ESPN was thinking, tho, putting us just one ahead of the Bulls and behind the Cavs.
