Nov 7 - "I'm not happy any time I come out of the game," Deron Williams said, "whether it's five minutes or two minutes (left).

"I'm not gonna say 'I'm not happy,"' he adds after a moment of reflection, "but, you know, I want to play the whole game, if I have to."

Jerry Sloan has long defended the way he used John Stockton, especially to Stockton himself, suggesting it made him more efficient on a game-to-game basis, limited his exposure to injury and, in the long run, extended his 19-year career by perhaps a few seasons. -- Deseret Morning News

Deron needs to understand that while the Jazz are trying to win the West, the more minutes he rests now the more energy he conserves for down the stretch.

It's great that he wants to be out there all the time, but in the long run, for this season and beyound, it's for the best to not go overboard on the minutes.

The timing of these comments baffle me. He's playing 36.8 minutes per game, and played 40 minutes in their last game. That's plenty of run.

Much ado about nothing. Every competitive player wants to play the entire game.
